untermensch- 1) uac is off and disabled so no. 2) from the .exe 3) with "Run As Administrator" 4) don't know. I have just recheck it and he is my result: with my core i7 compurter and windows 7 ultimate x64: it take about 20 seconds ~ (still too long imo) with my pentium 4 computer and windows 7 x86: 40 seconds ~ anyway I think you need to add the line (even 20 seconds it's long for the regular users that just run the act*vator & see it's just doesn't do anything and close it immediately. I know it's suppose to be like that but a simple text line will change things. also when I click on the "x" to close the act*vator (after it succeeded) I get this: "This program might not have installed properly". this command "move /Y %temp%\debug.log %userprofile%\desktop" does not work for me, so I took debug.log directly from the temp folder. My debug.log:
LOL +1 untermensch, HC and i have both said tuvi is just a troll lol he tried that in another thread.
Sorry, did not work, I substituded FINDSTR /R /C:"[0-9][ 0-9] [^Aa-Zz][^Aa-Zz] " and then ran install.cmd and it hung. Had to CTRL C to exit. No big deal since I have a work around.
Reign_Of_Freedom- actually you are trolling trolling- send with the intention of provoking an angry response. you don't worth a real respond. I promise urie something and I am gonna keep my promise. untermensch- I have got microsoft iso's (vaild sha1/md5/crc32) 7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.iso 7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD and I did not say your act*vator does not work, I only suggest things to improve. actually your act*vator works very good for me and for many users. in beta your act*vator does not suppose to work since different pkeyconfig.xrm-ms and tokens.dat. I did not like your tone, you hurry to make conclusion. if you don't want users to suggest improvements, just say so in the first page.
This is the only entry in debug.log: Version 1.0.0.9 Here is the cmd processor output: S:\Win7 RTM\w7ldr>install ECHO is on. Did find autorun.inf on the system drive and deleted it Your program ran to completion Rebooted and found grldr had been deleted Booted to XP and replaced glrdr from Hazar because it was not present in your lo*der. Now you see why I have several copies of XP. Need those to fix problems when other OS's fail Here some snippets from the debug: DiskPart successfully assigned the drive letter or mount point. Volume in drive Z is IBM60-C Volume Serial Number is 11CA-A65D C:\Users\guruW7\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS3C36.tmp\w7ldr1 C:\Users\guruW7\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS3C36.tmp\slic C:\Users\guruW7\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS3C36.tmp\w7ldr2 1 file(s) copied. Target volumes will be updated with BOOTMGR compatible bootcode. Don't understand, why C:/users, that is the W7 partition License file C:\Users\guruW7\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS3C36.tmp\cert.xrm-ms installed successfully. Why here ? should be on Z, the system drive Installed product key 2xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxsuccessfully SLMGR_HAS_RUN set to 1 BOOTMGR found 1 times Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7600 Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation. Looks OK Still not a*ct*vated Should I restore the original ghost image and start over ? Hey, this is fun, best experience since I programmed in FORTRAN IV in the mid 60's
I have just tested v1.0.1.0, it works great! thank you untermensch! please add this line in the next version: "Please wait.." as i have already suggested, also I tried hazar loader on my hebrew windows 7, and it' did not work. your loader is the only one that has mui support so it's the only loader that works on my hebrew windows 7. I have a little problem with get_debuglog.cmd. when I click on get_debuglog.cmd (right click > run as adiministrator) it does not copy debug.log to desktop. my debug.log is in: C:\Users\Band of Brothers\AppData\Local\Temp also, does your loader auto replace the old debug.log with the new one?
no, of course not. What is the problem with this lines? and as you can see, I did not use work_dammit mode. thank you EDIT: just saw you edited your post, thank you untermensch.
OK, that explains things. Now I see what is going on. First, System Commander (SC) operates by replacing the system drive mbr with its own mbr. This mbr loads the SC boot menu. When an OS is selected SC retrieves the startup files for that OS from a subdir in c:\SC\ places those in C:\ and turns control over to the appropriate loader causing those to load (ntldr) for example and then SC exits (not a TSR). SC knows what the OS startup files are by reading and displaying boot.ini. So how do we get to grub4dos, simple, add these to boot.ini: C:\mixboot.dos="PCLinuxOS" (boots PCLinuxOS 2009) C:\grldr.mbr="Grub4Dos" (was added in 2007 for vista) C:\w7ldr1="w7loader" c:\w7ldr="w7ldr" SC now displays the boot.ini list in a boot menu and allows the user to select his/hers OS of choice. Note that these must in the boot.ini that SC reads ie in the C:/SC/ directory because the loader files in C:\ are overwritten by SC on every boot. Typically for WinNT the startup files are: boot.ini, NTBOOTDD.SYS, NTDETECT.COM and NTLDR. From your explanation it was instantly clear what had to be done. Copy the cert and w7ldr to c:\ and add w7ldr to boot.ini. Did that and rebooted and now W7 is ac*ti*vat*d. You now have a winner. The only caveat being that SC users should perform these last steps manually. Bootsect and bootinst overwrite the mbr on the boot drive so SC cannot run although the last instance off the OS loader files are there and the user can still boot up. SC is easily fixed by booting to DOS and running C:\SC\scin. On the resulting menu select re-enable System Commander, exit and reboot. Thanks. BTW the grub entry will always work with vista and the 7ldr will not interfere with that.
One minor detail. When I run the debulog it says Version 1.0.0.9 Yes, I have the latest version Also, when I delete the log that is created on desktop and run the debuglog again it doesn't show up.
