IF you say so :/ Who cares who is best, its about the tool that works best Untermensch loader is very nice, I just wrote a different one.
Hazar- I have tested your "experimental patch " and it does not work. I get this error: "File to be patched, does not exist! ("slui.exe.mui") Does you make a uninstaller? I want to uninstall it cause I don't want to get into troubles.. "Who cares who is best, its about the tool that works best " that is right! thank you hazar.
I propose... You too are a great coder Hazar, you started and i believe that if all three of you will join invincible I propose you to work together for the best seven lo*der of history, Orbit, Hazar and Untermensch VS Micro$oft warning!! uncle bill
And, do you know how I can convert the dynamic disk and make into basic disk without loosing datas? PS: you can read my debug on post 142, thanks.
Bios mods are risky although both computers have Gigabyte boards with dual BIOS minimizing the riak. Still ac*va*tion worked with vista 2 years ago and I saw no reason why it should be different now. You are now number 1 on the W7 resource page, perhaps our joint exercise contributed to that Thanks again
If you use this to actiave windows will it be permanent or will MS be able to shut it off or blacklist key later on? i ran this and it says activated now but want to make sure that months down road ms can't tell. thanks!
Crap... I'm ran this and now my computer won't boot....it hangs at "Verifying DMI pool data" any suggestions?
i get the adsact same, ive had it with all the loaders so far. i hope someone can help with this!!!! i really stuck with it? maybe im doing something wrong would love someone to point me in the right direction.
Yep. It loads the BIOS and then it just hangs at "Verifying DMI pool data" forever...and ever.... I NEED to get this fixed. I had this problem before and fixed it somehow with dumb luck. I have no idea what I did. Please help.
I'll try that. My computer seems to flash the "Verifying DMI" error when a gust of wind blows. So while I'm sure you can fix something on your end, my computer also fails a lot. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it.
Ok, well my computer works now, however Windows 7 reports that it is not activated. Darn. Perhaps we can get a fix that will prevent the "Verifying DMI" and also make sure it works? I know that if only a few users are getting the "verifying DMI" problem, it'll probably be hard to make sure it works for everyone, but hey, it's worth a shot.
I am not able to get any versions of your loader running yet untermensch, sorry. I will post my debug.log if you would help me please. A few notes first. One thing the debug.log does not show is that I also have two more 30 GB partitions that are set hidden and so do not show, they are WXPro & Vista (partition 1 & 2), however, just like Win7 at the time each OS was installed Every other partition was purposefully set Hidden, so that none of each others bootloader would get used at all, and no files from each OS would get installed on any other partitions. (I used the old benign powerquest pqboot32.exe to boot from one OS to the other) My thinking for my problem is that perhaps the Loader install process is not taking into consideration these Partition 1 & 2 since they are set hidden, and Win7 is installed on Partition 3 (of the 8 partitions that are there) (besides the cdroms) My Motherboard is a 5 year old Intel D865perll, computer built from scratch, it has a P19 bios on an SST chip. I've tried all previous hazar and orbits loaders and all give the same problem. Note though I did have all previous versions of the Win7 Release Candidate installed and working fine with orbits loader. Each new install was a fresh install, never any upgrades. Anyway, the problem started happening with a fresh install of this latest Retail v7600.16385 which installed and works just fine until I try installing any loader, and upon the loaders reboot it won't come back up and only goes so far - the Microsoft animated 4 point logo does not appear and instead is the other thin loading logo that sits there for a bit, and then forces a reboot, and this process keeps repeating itself. To get out of it and try something else I use a bootdisk of Acronis True Image to keep restoring back to whatever Win7 version point I want before the loader. debug Active code page: 437 Version 1.0.1.2 start:=============================================================================================== HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion BuildLabEx REG_SZ 7600.16385.x86fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion ProductName REG_SZ Windows 7 Ultimate filecheck:=========================================================================================== all ok start service:======================================================================================= STATE : 4 RUNNING [SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS find partition:====================================================================================== Microsoft DiskPart version 6.1.7600 Copyright (C) 1999-2008 Microsoft Corporation. Yes I tried booting into safe mode, but it only gets so far, I see it listing about 50 things then all the sudden it reboots and does the same thing in a reboot loop. I thought it's acting like the boot loader tagged it to boot from partition 1 when it's really partition 3, while partition 1 & 2 are hidden. diskpart shows it as Volumes and that's right what it says, but I'm talking about the actual Partition Table position. I'm no expert at what's wrong, and so just doing my next best guess. It's gotta be something easy that's out of whack, since I use a loader for Vista and it works fine, etc..., and all of Win7 RC's worked fine too.
