Hm, I thought I remember a RAM related issue with a 8.1 installion on a 512MB AMD Sempron. Maybe it didn't meet requirements in general, I forget. Glad to hear that toasters can still run Windows
Those requirements are bogus because computers that old won't support the NX requirements (which are strangely missing from the requirements list, btw).
I said I'm sure there isn't any runtime check. It's possible that some checks are done during the setup. If it's the case installing via Imagex or Dism is the easy workaround (and is way faster). Regarding the CPU requirements (PAE,NX,SSE2) the checks are done both at setup time, and on normal boot. Hence the need for patched files.
you do it in your pants becuse you are... (i better say it in spanish) ERES UN GUARROOO !!! LOL ....hahahahahhaha .
I remember when there were two columns in tables for system requirements: one for minimum, the other for recommended. I guess the Windows 10 numbers provided represent just the bare minimum. Double them, and you're in the recommended area, at least RAM-wise. Running 64-bit on anything with less than 4 GB of RAM is pointless anyways, plus a waste of precious memory. Performance will suck. I noticed that on a system where I installed x64 Windows 8.1 before upgrading the RAM from 2 to 4 GB.
