Hi, I would be very pleased if somebody could support me: I need a dump of your current bios: Install and open hwdirect, go to memory dump. Enter fff00000 without "h" and size 100000 without "h", press dump. Right click into window, select all, right click again, copy. Paste as new file into winhex. (Open winhex and press Shift + insert key) Make sure ASCII-hex is selected. Save file and upload, please! To get Hwdirect to run under 64 bit, press F8 at startup and disable driver enforcement. This will last for one session only and allows Hwdirect to run. This call is to everyone who has got a new HP/Compaq Laptop, Notebook with a special Compaq bios such as HP530, HP Compaq 6510b or HP Compaq 2210b, which came with Vista preinstalled!! TIA
I need more informations, please. Is there somebody else with a licensed machine? @shay_g Would you please upload a Everest overview, especially the DMI as well?
I think we need an engineer flashing tool, one that is used by HP when configuring systems. There is similar situation for Asus dekstop motherboards (we can "upgrade" lower-end mobos to the "Maximus" version or downgrade back do stock) and to achieve this it is the engineer flashing tool required. Such a Asus tool leaked to the Internet but this is obviously not a case with HP, at least for now.
I have vista license HP desktop - but i need more directions in lamens terms to help you out. I fear the BIOS
