Awesome photos. Such a majestic bird. I was surprised at how large they are the first (and only) time I've seen one. Probably at least a six-foot wingspan.

I love this lens and believe it or not, images are more sharp and crisp, than those taking with 80-400mm VR (price ~$1400 vs ~$2300) I even though about selling the 80-400, recoup some of the money and buy 200-400mm f/4 or 500mm f/4 but those are heavy lenses to carry around for a few hours shooting planes or race cars w/o tripod.
I thought lessens which are longer than 300 mm are ineligible....for the way I travel. (too big and heavy..and expensive compared to usage) Wildlife (smaller animals) and real common life situations without to get noticed when shooting..situations where one cannot get close to them....etc...(no paparazzi, though)... 2.3 kilograms .. it's heavy, but it's 500 mm and f/5.6 is fast enough on recent sensors. I have cursed my camera backpack sometimes already..especially when climbing up somewhere (waterfall and the like)...doing that in tropics is exhausting. I am not young anymore, lol. But this piece of glass is exciting..... Cannot buy it before I go again (coming weekend) but will keep an eye on it..definitely.
It is heavy, especially if you add body+grip+big battery = 8.8lb (4 kg!)......D850 is capable of 9 FPS with it and I like it, lol
Pictures from my recent Junuary trip to North Sweden, there is many pictures so I split them in three albums. Click on the images to open albums.

Past weeks I realized a personal dream I had since I took photos with my DSLR's and I thought I could share it here at MDL as well. Selected photos in combination with a masterpiece of electronic music to reflect impressions I have got since 2007 by my travels. (start of MDL 2007, start of using DSLR's). The result is a 1 hour 19 minutes almost 6 Gbyte video event or slideshow through my travels. Recommendation: Spoiler: info Watch it entirely on a big screen with good audio attached when you have enough time and the mood to let yourself take away a bit... Filename: just_a_musicvideo.rar Pass: I1am2free3@mdl To remember easily: "I one am two free three at mdl". Numbers as wording have to be numbers, at=@ lol. Link: https://anonymz.com/?https://drive....1XUkLeKlMNalT4aDfu7VmUPGk6ab0fM-P?usp=sharing (I have rar'd it with pass, consider to buy the album "Ourdom" if you like the music. I have made a 256 kBit/s AAC rip from my CD audio - 10000 kBit/s 60 fps full HD video H.264 to preserve best quality. I do not upload the video to vimeo or the like since it'd cripple the quality.) Enjoy. I hope you like it and I can take you with me sharing the great impressions. I used anything I had from the technical side to make this event and atmosphere as real as possible. The file is virus free of course. The drive provider cannot scan it for it and a preview of rar's isn't possible that's normal, though. I'll use this drive to share other videos as well. Feel free to download. The world can be beautiful. Yen.
wow simply wow, video very well produced Yen congratulations you like that region a lot because I remember that other video that I still have kept with affection until today; hehe I think that you discovered a new facet of your personality I really really appreciate you for sharing with us
I am glad you like it. It was a lot of fun and joy to realize that. It took many hours, but always with enthusiasm. I took the energy I had got from my last travel into making it....and I am still very very happy.....
