    2.5.1 net stop clipsvc
2.5.2 Copy GenuineTicket.xml to its proper place
    2.5.3 net start clipsvc
    2.5.4 Connect online.

AFAIK, it should work. I need to test it again though.

BTW, @Yen congrats on your 10000-th post!

    Yep. :)
Or simply copy it while being offline and reboot like I have posted. This method has been confirmed by Blinky.

So you need to reapply the ticket again on the second installation, it's like an offline activation ticket to be stored for future use?

:)Does the message appear when the ticket is reapplied to the second installation before going online or without ticket?

    @Yen

It should be shown after being online without applying the ticket manually. I'll do some tests & post my findings.

It would be nice to find out if it's really needed to keep the ticket for future clean installations.

No need to keep it. You just have to be ONLINE this time while making another clean install to get online activated. Confirmed by Blinky.

Any chance this method could be applied to an 8.1 with media center upgrade to 10 pro to keep the dvd player app on a clean install?

    Confirmed again.

Just tried it on a PC that wouldn't upgrade normally, non standard SATA controller that W10 couldn't find on reboot.

Followed instructions from first post, which worked fine.
Then replaced HDD and did a clean install, was activated before I got to Settings -> Activation. :)

I've also successfully done this today on 2 systems. I was connected to the internet the whole time and have not had any issues. Is there a reason to not be online? Was anything confirmed with being online and having problems?

Without having the time to test this thoroughly can somebody confirm if this statement is accurate:

You need to generate the GenuineTicket.xml on a valid qualifying OS, then clean install Windows 10 OFFLINE on the same Hardware....

This if true will avoid the confusion that some people think they can just generate a single GenuineTicket.xml and install windows 10 on new hardware.

OK... now I did another test... this time connected to a LAN cable the entire time through windows 10 install and it failed activation. On my previous tests my internet was not working until I entered my WiFi pin. So... I'm guessing there is some sort of check in the middle of install if there is an internet connection.

I'm reinstalling the computer again without LAN connection to see if it will activate this time.

What is the best (quickest but guaranteed) way to validate with IE?

Haven't tried it, but Windows activation since Vista has been the same for both architectures.
And seems the HWID is sort of replacing the CD Key, I wouldn't think that would change.

I haven't tested this either. But, you can be pretty sure the GenuineTicket.xml will have some sort of H/W ID in it from the system it was run on. So I can't see it ever working on another system.

For Windows 7 theres a 'Learn More' (or something similar) link next to the Activation badge in System Properties.
Don't have a Windows 8.x box handy to check if its there too.
