I had a Vista Starter install way back in the Vista testing days (see spoiler)
The Windows 7 Starter was for Netbooks (I was told) so I never tested that one.

Why would you want to install a limited sku meant for third world countries when all normal sku's are readily available?

 

hmm, I noticed in ServerRdsh sku that if you try and create a system image backup it fails with some error message I cant rememebr, but works perfect in the other skus go figure

All have free HWID's And full options, not a crippled down starter.

 

how did you manage to get HWID for all these editions ?

 

under control panel, I forget option, but same as other sku's when you want to create a windows system image backup
