This thread is about Acronis Activation and not about general problems with Acronis! There are several forums for this. Here you are off-topic Why? Where to? How? Which DOS mode? Hard to help you here. My advice: Create a bootable USB flash drive with Acronis, boot it and use it for recovery.
Maybe it is referring to advanced security services? They have been deactivated 3 months after activation and Acronis reports every boot to upgrade license. I have had this notification for a few weeks. I think the key needs to be updated with a full version
And for me all those unnecessary services are disabled (all on manual in "services"), except the ones that are necessary or would start automatically anyway, so I have no notice whatsoever. I start via a .bat file only those: NET START "Acronis Active Protection (TM) Service" NET START "Acronis Scheduler2 Service" NET START "Acronis Sync Agent Service" CD C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome START TrueImageLauncher.exe
