I'm a bit sceptical with this one. I'll wait till the license files and SLP keys are online and do it in the proper way. Till then - rearm. Sorry. But maybe someone else can try it and set the date to year 2011 in Win+Bios and reboot.
There are 2 ways of showing the "About Windows" dialog. One is clicking Help->About and the other is running winver. The first one does not show the time bomb. The second one does. Edit: the screenshot above seems to be from winver, since there a "About Windows" on the taskbar.
Maybe reboot 2x ? If the winver after that still says that it's not timebombed then i'll be impressed. I did it myself and even though its activated, the timebomb comes back after a reboot.
i have reboot at lest 10 times since i have done this don't know if im lucky or not but have no reason to lie but deffo no time bomb at all the only thing i haven tryed is to take the computer past march 2010 as i don't wanna screw my windows if it dose not work but as for the time bomb show 100% gone
hata28 what i did to get the 321 back to 292 was goto C:\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\pkeyconfig and in there you should have a file called pkeyconfig.xrm-ms and a backup file delete the pkeyconfig.xrm-ms file and rename the backup file to pkeyconfig.xrm-ms if you do not have a backup file DO NOT DELETE pkeyconfig.xrm-ms when you have done that goto C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform in here you will have a file called tokens.dat and hopefull one called tokens.bak if so delete the tokens.dat and rename the tokens.bak to tokens.dat if you cannot delete the tokens.dat then you need to goto run and type services.msc and when the window opens stop software protection this will let you delete the tokens.dat IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A tokens.BAK THEN DO NOT DELETE tokens.dat when done go back to services.msc and start software protection again and on win 7 toolkit v1.3 gen key the install key this will fail but after reboot gave me 292 back and the i activated all editions on v1.3 and there you have it hope it works for u
Okay new to the forum and directly tested this.. I meesed around with toolkit 1.3 (deleting key and trying to new put key in) then i messed around with toolkit 1.7 and i got frustrated.. still 321. So i did something really stupid and opened regeditor and searched for the string. Changed to 292 then activated again with toolkit 1.3.. Turned the clock to 2013.. No warning about genuine and the nag-popup. Still running smoothly Then i did run winver -> No timebomb message then i run slmgr -dli -> says unlicend In properties -> you have to activate.. But after alot of reboots and turning the clock to 2011 and 2012 still running smoothly (no popups /nagscreen /not genuine) But still not activated... Gonna run windows update but have to leave this machine and go back to mine playing box..... Greetz from the netherlands.
its still not a legit activation and will be deactivated upon the full RTM release and windows updates start flowing.
yep... but i like to play.. youre right.. After setting the date back (it sayed: 30 days to activate- rearmed?) Then i run vista toolkit 2.2.. (everybody is laughing i know.. ) i used option: reinstall system licence file.. and then run OEM slic present (i have a emachines play box) and selected acer and activated... Now it runs activated till okt 2010.. (tested till this date..) hmmm funny stuff Yeah its a f**ked up licence file i think... What even strange is i can run windows update just fine (3 updates available..) ..... I'm lost...
I changed the date to 2015 on the bios. Windows became unlicensed, but it was working. Changed the date back to 2009 and it became activated again.
