I applied the BIOS and still got SlicTool report of "Dump OK ! (But SLIC OEM ID or Digital Signature Error !)" and the ACPI table still lists it as SLIC2.0. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: I used Winflash and programmed the DMI Block, HOLE, and Boot Block with the new slic mod and it removed all HP branding from the BIOS but slic Toolkit then reported SLIC2.1. This is a step in the right direction... Any way to retain the HP BIOS screen on boot while also making it SLIC2.1? TIA.
modify your bios backup with awardtool 1.53 : manuf.: HP SLIC: HPQOEM[SLIC-CPC]2.1-3474C7AC.BIN SLP: ----- Method: ISA and then try to flash it

So I did the above with awardtool 1.53 and that Slic file, still have the BIOS without HP branding... Thanks for all your help, I will just let him know that F10 doesn't work anymore. He shouldn't need to use it anyway. Have a good one Serg.
