This motherboard comes with soldered bios chip, and while the PCB has the drawings for a second bios chip + selector jumper, they're both unpopulated, so I can't risk a brick, too hard to unbrick later. I would try if you had confidence in the board booting after the mod was flashed.
I do not have such confidence. It makes sense to try different mods (for these series motherboards) only if you have a SPI flash programmer (for bios recovery).
-Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Archos 140 cesium -Bios Revision : in 2017 -Bios Type :Ami () -Bios SLIC :windows 8.x -Bios Link : not found
I do have a SPI flash programmer, but as the flash chip is soldered on and I don't have a test clip, I don't want to mess with the board because I don't want to lose its warranty. But if I find a cheap test clip, I may buy it.
