[Edit - BIOS removed.] 00:51: 5th - It now reads in the Award Tool, after reading back out, but some files are not as expected... 00:00: 6th - Have tried AWDFLASH to read and BIOS Universal Toolkit 2.0 to read. Both had exactly the same hash code generated, so are identical! Decided it is too risky to use 2.1 method, plus time. The PC is for brother and now located its 7 driver equivalents, it works nicely. All of 7 is up to date too! BIOS was not reporting correct SLIC values and as USBF is not very easy to do, a bad flash is probably unrecoverable unless want to program chips. And no time, patience for it - esp. as BIOS is already latest. So bought a cheap pro key today from eBay and had to activate that with Microsoft on the phone. Which is a more legal way to do things but is fiddly each time want to activate. Hardware is now as plan it, so have activated and installed clean. What I can now do is find a program called Advanced Tokens Manager v3.2 and this will backup activation. Then I zip the whole thing and store with the drivers. Providing hardware stays the same, this will allow you to recover activation without having to phone again.
