Ever since upgrading to 1803 my WIFI based laptops can not access my NAS. LAN Based yes since I changed my SMB from 1 to 3. As a matter of fact they are all in the same work group but for some reason refuse to show up in any type of network map. Lan works fine, WIFI's based do not. They all have the same IP address range, Same Work Group. All use the same windows firewall All are the same 1803 and the wifi is 5g AC Is this an 1803 issue or a router issue? Can anyone out there clue me in.
Thank you for the reply. I fixed it and it took an hour. So much for Netgear and Knighthawks. Whatever the reason behind Netgear's thinking or how they screw things up with updates. I decided to take a chance and reset my router starting from scratch. I set my own I.P. address and had to reset over 20 devices in my house but when it was all done everything is visible and working again. Sometimes you just have to reset your life like a first marriage. I'm still using SMB 2 lo and SMB 3 high, didn't have to engage 1 again. But thanks to all and maybe this is something to think about if you are having issues because I thought it was Windows all this time. The only thing I gathered from searching was this problem showing up several times over the years in various forums with no real solution other than turn on network discovery.
Can someone please help me find a place where I can download the ISO (not ESD) of the UK & US versions of Enterprise and Professional, both Volume License. Thanks!
At the official 1803 aka 17134.1 thread you can find all iso's you need. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-2018-update-final-1803-aka-17134-1-pc.76889/ You can find the svf(/sfx) repo's by @GezoeSloog and myself or the best ISO download tool ever by @s1ave77
I've been receiving many complaints from users that after updating to 1803, when playing audio via windows media player, if they were to close windows media player, the audio keeps playing in background. anyone else experience this? any fix(es)?
Hello, Got a usb wifi adapter to use on my machine, but the thing is that doesn't work after i boot up my pc. Everytime the pc boots up i need to remove and connect the adapter again to work. On Windows event log i got this error " Device USB\VID_148F&PID_7601\5&363e9a09&0&1 had a problem starting." I think is some issued with the adapter and the Windows Fast Startup, if i disable fast startup it works on every boot. The thing is that fast startup make a great difference for me. Drivers are updated. Windows 10 x64 17134.112 Adapter id: USB\VID_148F&PID_7601&REV_0000 Thanks.
Any working way to totally nuke the Windows Update? I have tried many ways but useless, seems it's time to back to 7
Did you check these methods here? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/methods-to-deal-with-windows-updates.72328/ or https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/stopwinupdates.77026/ For total nuke lol here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/stopupdates10-stop-windows-10-updates.76787/ or https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-update-blocker-v1-0.72325/
Win10 dose not support TM6292 from 1703 . There seems to be a problem with the hardware enumeration feature of Creator Updates. I removed the two chips from the mainboard. TM6292 works well with 1803 now. The two interfaces are estimated to no longer be used. the two chip are "ENE CB-1410BF" (for PCMCIA) and "TI TSB43AB23 G4"(for 1394).
my sound stop working after installing CU 112 hopefully the problem will be fix in the next update or maybe not
