    Hi!

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit in a VM.

With version 5 of the Bypass, I was offered only the 2020-03 Security Monthly Quality Rollup and the MSRT via WU, which installed fine, but after rebooting the March SSU (KB4550735) was not offered...
    ( I didn't install the MSRT).
    How is that possible?
( in February the SSU (KB4537829) wasn't offered as well; I had to install it manually in order to get the March updates.

Do I have to install the March SSU manually, or is there some trick to let WU offer it?

In my case, it only offered the Malicious Software Removal Tool, but as I've said, it's fine with me. As long as I can install the updates manually, I'm happy as can be.

My thanks to all of you.

Question: With v4 it was recommended that we remove it after installing the Win7 updates. I can't seem to find the same option with v5. Should I remove v5 as well, and if yes, how do I do it? Thank you!

I have searched for this update and can't find it anywhere on my installed updates so i tried to install it manually and got the message this update is not applicable to this computer

I'm not sure anymore, so I'll ask.
I have several old KBs I never installed, because they're more spyware than something else.
Until now (so 2020 February updates), I installed manually security only update + IE updates.
What if I now install the new updates showing in my Windows Update (KB4540688 Rollup + KB4550735)? To say it simply, do I get more spyware than if I install sec only + IE?
Rollup vs Sec only: does this have anything to do with spyware updates?
    Thanks.

Why do people who always updated their system manually now use WU?

The updates on WU, other then the ESU updates are superseded ones and for satisfying WU.

If you used v4 as instructed, no need for v5, only for adding the WU patcher.

v4 doesn't patch WU to be able to get the ESU updates by WU.

The updates are all in the Tutorial+ESU updates overview with download links.
if you've used v4 as instructed then v5 will only offer the WU patcher as addition to v4.

I have 2 Win 7 systems, desktop and laptop. Both had v4 installed. I made sure ALL prereq's were installed on both machines and rebooted afterwards

Laptop, I run v5, I only get option 3. I install option 3, and everything works great through WU

Desktop, I run v5, and I have options 1 and 3 available. I try to install 1, and get an error:

    Installing ESU Suppressor . . .

    Any ideas how to fix?

If v4 is used as instructed, the v5 version will only offer to install the WU patcher, because kb..069 (the actual ESU check suppressor) is already installed.
Not seen that error before, afaik.
