Please show us we can do that! If it were that easy, VERY few of us would be here. Maybe you don't know this, but Microsoft has limited the sale if ESU keys to businesses only and you must be using Windows 7 Enterprise or Professional to buy a Windows 7 ESU key. All of us on Home or Ultimate have been abandoned by Microsoft and are grateful for the efforts of abbodi1406 and Enthousiast to help us stay safe as we figure out how and when we want transition.
istighfar, that's just not true. Many of us would have gladly paid for an ESU license, but Microsoft won't sell them to us.
All May patches installed flawlessly through WU in one go in a W7 Pro x64 with .NET 4.8, May SSU offered at once. Brilliant. Thanks a lot!
I have all May 2020 updates installed except for KB 4556836. I tried updating it by WU and also manually downloading it. It will not install. My question is if I have KB4552940 do I still need the KB 4556836? Please, advise?
Sorry you did. But I am still a little confused as why I cannot download and install KB 4556836. I have used all the tools provided in this forum. Please advise and detail out for me and what I have to do if I have to do anything. That would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards.
I can use for x86 bit version of Win 7? I must install other update before to use NET 4.x ESU updates manually? Ihave an error: No installed .NET 4.x product detect. Thanks
I just launched WU on my 2 VM machines, patched with BypassESU-v5, without any (prerequisite) update since last month. First VM machine without @abbodi1406 .Net patch : KB4556836 and KB4559449 installed fine, KB4556399 failed. After installation of @abbodi1406 .Net patch, KB4556399 installed fine. Second VM machine : I first installed @abbodi1406 .Net patch. Thereafter, the 3 updates installed flawlessly. Thanks to @Enthousiast for the summary and to @abbodi1406 for the .Net easy fix (and the many other scripts I routinely use).
