So far I cannot install any dot net framework updates. I've tried everything within the thread with no joy at all, all other updates work fine.
Yes, normally. But maybe the (perfect) update instructions a bit different with a new version. A confirmation that just running the new version is enough would be nice. This would also save reading a lot of posts.
Indeed! ndp47-kb4576612-x64.exe refused any method (four) Windows6.1-KB4569767-x64.msu flawless installed so i'm stuck at ndp47-kb4576612-x64.exe Adding SLC redirection . . . Installing updates(s) . . . ndp47-kb4576612-x64.exe Failed. Error code: 1642 Removing SLC redirection . . . Finshed. WU gives Code 66A
Use bypass ESU from January, using ver8 now. used dotnetfx4. tried offline installer, disabled anti-virus. Whatever I try error 643.
The update for .NET 4.7.2 worked for me using dotNetFx4 ESU Bypass v2 or "r" on W7 Ultimate x64 through WU.
Both original and ver2 failed. I'm seriously facing the horrible prospect of windows 10. It seems to be becoming far too complicated to keep this computer updated on Windows 7, the frustrating thing is 3 other computers are fine everything working, the most important 1 is being a *&^tard.
Whilst typing the previous post the other computer on the desk fully updated everything using BypassESU ver8
Being a successful user of the full v7 capability, I used v7 to uninstall the .NET Bypass ONLY. I then installed the v8 suppressor, then used the dotNetFx4 ESU Bypass to reinstall the removed capability. Following that work, fired up Windows Update and the September W7 Monthly Update and the dotNET Monthly update installed just fine. Currently waiting for the Sep SSU update (if it ever arrives). Thank you once again to the TEAM!
+1 except I did it in different order: starting where I left it last month, installed the dotNet monthly update kb4576628, then uninstalled validation for .NET 4 updates using BypassESU-v7, then installed BypassESU-v8, then fired up Windows Update and the September W7 Monthly Update kb4577051 installed just fine. Validation for .NET 4 updates will remain uninstalled until next month. All of this after using WU for kb4576628 and the standalone method for kb4577051 in another computer, also succesfully, without BypassESU-v8
