With the arrival of the November 10, 2020 "patch Tuesday", Windows Update detected and installed these updates in my Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit minitowers: KB4586827 - security monthly quality rollup for Windows 7 64-bit KB4586083 - security and quality rollup for .NET Framework 4.8 There was no servicing stack update after restart. Internet Explorer updated from 11.0.210 to 11.0.220. BypassESU-v9 was already deployed.
I have two Lenovo S20s with pretty much the same hardware and software setups. Using Bypass 9, WU finds and installs the updates as expected on one, but on the other, I have to download from the Windows catalog. The files all install fine, but it takes a bit more time. No problem. In any case, the Bypass has certainly worked again. My sincere thanks (again) to the team.

That's probably why KB4586083 was not offered as important update through WU but only as optional update ?
Hello, Can you recommend to install the esu bypass on all windows server 2008 systems even if the 2008 systems are not used for domaincontroller services?
1. Do a clean install of Windows 7 SP1. 2. Run Simplix Update Pack 20.10.15 (which will restart the computer 3 - 4 times and take about an hour to complete). 3. Install the necessary device drivers. 4. Run BypassESU-v9 (select option #1 full installation). 5. Load Windows Update and check for updates and install any necessary important/recommended/optional updates. Done!
i take care of three server, different hardware, all installed with Server 2008 R2 and BypassESU-v9. Everything fine until yesterday. Today KB4586083 (.dot net Framework Update) installed fine, but not KB4586827 (2020-11 monthly security update). Installed without error message, reboot server and this update is rolled back. In BypassESU-v9 [7] Install .NET 4 ESU Bypass is switched off. [2] Install ESU Suppressor is allways offered, when i start LiveOS-Setup.cmd "Run as administrator". All server didnt recognise that option [2] is installed. [Solution was in my case after three failed attempts and four reboots : cleared all files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\*.* and started WU again.]
I got the .net 4.8 update [KB4585205] offered through windows update but not the security quality roll up[kb4586827], security only updates[kb4586805] or Internet Explorer updates[kb4586768]. Last months [Oct-kb4580970] servicing stack installed fine V9 of the script installed after V7...If I re run the script as admin I get options [4]. [6] + [9] so it would seem its installed OK and has been great the months before Nov. This is on both x86 and x64. I`m going to manually try them now... Once again a big thanks to Abbodi146 for providing this. p.s. Got the WMSRT for Nov as well.
