Just removed the KB4534310 January Security Monthly Quality Rollup. Took an eternity to uninstall and restart, almost 2 hours!! Reinstalled the ESU by pass tool and then the Test Update KB4528069 installed just fine. I then uninstalled the Test Update KB4528069 and have uninstalled the ESU bypass tool (needed to disable Kaspersky to do that or got access is denied), So definitely something in the KB4534310 thats blocking the KB4528069
Having not run windows update since Novemeber last year and then only via wsus offline and manual rollback of Win10 nagging updates that could be possible. I have it all installed as described by the test procedure so as far as that is concerned it works? I downloaded the msu's on the 12th, maybe they changed them since then? Not sure how MS handles that.
I went through the process of installing the bypass a few weeks ago and it seemed to have gone through, but I received the EOS full screen today. Is the EOS message an indication that the bypass was not installed correctly? I skimmed back about five pages and didn't see one way or the other. To the experts: is this a thing? I already have KB4528069 installed on my computer--should I not install KB4534310? Edit: sorry--it does seem that you address this and that we just need to wait and see if there is a fix.
I have a dual socket 1366 workstation that plays so nicely with 7. It being the eldest machine I own, I'd like to still have at least ONE computer running it as a Primary OS. Followed steps accordingly, everything seemed to go pretty smoothly, lets see what happens!
? Download the zip, UNPACK the zip to a folder and right-click the installer.bat, select "run as admin" and it will be installed.
Ok, thanks for the clarification. I've already installed Windows 7 January updates so February will be the test for this. ~ We'll keep in touch in the future. Again, thanks
Uninstalled KB4534310 and KB4528069 installed fine - looking forward to the Feb 11th 2020 update to find out if this tool works
Don't know if it's good or not, but I installed all updates from Jan 14 (including KB4534310). Today I installed againd the BypassESU and tested with the KB4528069 and it says it's already installed (which it is indeed, since I first tested BypassESU last month). Does that mean everything is okay?
Ok this thread is really cluttered and I hate to add to it but I couldnt find a direct answer to my question only snippets here and there. Mainly clarification Tuesday was the last of the non esu updates, so does that mean I can wait until next patch tuesday gets closer and THEN install the bypass or do I NEED to do this RIGHT NOW to be protected when using my PC online?
i think it doesn't matter when you install it, as long as it's before next patch tuesday although based on what i've read here from the past few days, microsoft patched the ESU bypass and so a new fix needs to be made
The ESU updates are probably not offered by WU, whether the bypass is installed or not. So when the ESU updates are released/published, then you can install the ESU Bypass version, released at that time.
