Spoiler: social.technet.microsoft.com Difference between "Security Only Quality Update" and "Security Monthly Quality Rollup"?? The first one include only security fixes, but second include additional fixes both non-security fixes and older security fixes. If the monthly rollup fix installs first, the security-only update would then no longer be applicable to the PC, since the entire content of that security-only update would already be installed. If the security-only update installs first, the monthly rollup will still be applicable as it contains additional fixes (both non-security fixes and older security fixes) that are needed by the PC. Question: The difference between "Quality security update only" and "Monthly security patch kit"?", in project to install Extended Security Updates for Windows 7... is not even funny, rather inappropriate (sad). "I really need updates, but I don't know what it is and why?".. Do not be offended, but usually (from experience) then questions begin that something is not working and the search for the culprits begins. For a home computer, there is no critical need for them, a good antivirus is much more relevant.
So if i install Security Only update then i need to install all of it till date? and if i install Rollup then i only need the latest update?
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...8-r2-wms-or-win-embedded-update-status.30670/ KUC still being updated, but komm doesn't frequent here that often anymore. Meant for Win7/8 and supports ESU. Offers/integrates new updates and removes superseded ones online or offline.
Ran v11 and only got .NET updates for 2021-02. What am I doing wrong? No monthly security rollups at all. Win7 Ultimate x64. Clean install. Offering $10 to whoever solves this problem. DM me your PayPal.
I'm not quite sure what you're asking... sounds like you're up to date with .NET but never received the rollup for Windows itself, yes? Also, check "View Update History" to see if the 2021-02 Rollup has already been installed. If so, send me the $10 bucks
Just an observation: I notice Thin PC Evaluation (which is a version of WES7) is able to get current updates through WU (02-2021) without modifications. It is still supported version of Embedded. Could this be used somehow on WES7 to trick and receive updates? The product trial key is in the ISO. I know it requires more than the key though. DISM lists Thin PC specific licensing packages. Anyway just letting you know.
Yes, POSReady 7 and Thin PC are still supported without ESU until October 2021 like i said, WU detectoid check for installed WES7 ESU keys to offer ESU updates you could test adding one of these registry keys, see if that trick WU Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\POSReady] "Version"="7.0" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\THINPC] "Version"="7.0"
It won't hurt to try them, but you can also try to use the separate .NET 4 Bypass, check the OP for info/link.
