    I have a question would Microsoft have anyway to detect this during an audit?

    Yes, this is easy right - just see list of installed updates, if you have installed newer then latest non ESU.

    Do i need do this procedure just one time and I'm in ? Or i need update this frequently to keep getting security updates?

  5. One time for Bypass ESU but if any update to Bypass ESU is published then need to see whats updated & if theres a need to run updated tool or not according to our needs. Mostly it's updated for .net .

    Hello,

    after a full installation of BypassESU-v11 (option 1 of the menu) when I tried to remove WU ESU Patcher (option 4 of the menu) this error is returned in the output:
    ...
    removing "C:\Windows\WuEsu\"
    removing "C:\Windows\System32\wuaueng3.dll"
    'removing' is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file.
    removing schedule task "Patch WU ESU"
    ...

    I think in line 320 of file LiveOS-Setup.cmd there is a missing echo command, so this line should be
    if exist "%SysPath%\sle.dll" (echo removing "%SystemRoot%\System32\sle.dll"&del /f /q "%SysPath%\sle.dll")

    Could you please double check and if you agree update the cmd file?
    Thanks,
    Pyornkrachzark

    Hi everyone,

    I would like to get a precision about that note, because I am not certain to understand it greatly :

    - Does that mean you can not install these ESU updates offline (but online, then there wont be problem when done if you want to be sometimes with an out live system), or;

    - Does that mean you need to be permanently connected on live because these updates, in their working way, require it (so you wont be able to use your OS out live anymore after their installation) ?

    Thank you for enlightening me.

    @Anderlir

    online/offline here is not related to network connectivity

    online = current running OS
    offline = Windows OS image = install.wim or boot.wim

    I have had this problem for 3 months now. I open the web page for the Microsoft catalog, and am trying to download ::

    2021-09 Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based systems (KB5005563)

    I clock on "Download" and the smaller web page opens (download) with the following link::

    windows6.1-kb5005563-x64_0e21b8a71e6a2f0d1bac7a8fdcbe0445456c78e2.msu

    And I try to click on that and nothing happens. In the past, what I click on that link, an Opera browser download save as box opens which will then save the .msu file to my download folder, which I can then install.

    Now, clicking on ANY .msu file opened from the catalog, does absolutely nothing.

    Any help would be surely appreciated. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, and Opera browser. I've tried this in Chrome and IE 11, same result.

    I have experimented and found that if I right click on the link::

    windows6.1-kb5005563-x64_0e21b8a71e6a2f0d1bac7a8fdcbe0445456c78e2.msu

    and tell Opera to open this in a new private window, the normal save as box opens and I can save it from there.

    Weird

    Does right click - Save as (or similar) work?

    Edit: Too late.
