I was able to install KB5004755 with Simplix Pack, and the Separate Addons Package ( SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Tool_Addons_2_7_21.8.11.zip ). The latest package I could find is dated 21-8-11. Since I was unable to install KB5006060 correctly with BypassESU, I was wondering if @abbodi1406 had a more recent Simplix Addon package which might include the KB5006060 update. Edit: I forgot to thank abbodi1406 for the wonderful addon packs already produced by him.
The latest Addon packages (DirectX 9.25, VCRedist and Dotnet 4.8) are in post #3 of the topic you linked. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-install-wim-esd-creation.79421/#post-1516362 The ones inside the tool are not updated as often, but the packages for download are updated monthly, once the patches become available. Just delete the old packages from your extracted tool and place the updated ones in.
Thanks! That worked like a charm. I must be blind because I looked in that section 3 or 4 days ago and thought that those were still older updates. If you have time, one other quick question. My understanding is that these Net Framework updates are cumulative. Should I uninstall the older versions that are still present in Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates?
Same issue here. Any way to fix the problem without uninstalling the update KB5006743? Maybe some registry keys or group policies, etc.?
Solved by accident. The only way it may be reproduced may be turning off the computer when Windows is restarting after uninstalling the update. I mean, if you want to gamble and see if it works for you too... I lost hours trying to solve it without success.
The freaking thing won't uninstall... The PC reboots twice and some notification raises saying Program and Features was not able to uninstall something. And the update KB5006743 is still there...
The same happened to me, but the printer became accessible. After restarting Windows started "Undoing changes" and ended up with the KB installed and the network printer working. Have you tested the printer now?
For anyone that's interested. I did some additional research and testing. KB5006060 does supersede KB5004755 so if KB5006060 is installed KB5004755 isn't necessary. KB4503575 (at least on my installation) can not be removed without C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll reverting to an older version despite KB5006060 still being installed. Edit: KB4503575 must be removed prior to the installation of KB5006060.
You may have to uninstall the KB and wait for a patch or any workaround someone may post. You can try system restore, it worked for me every time.
Each and any supersedance issue is purely attributed to the sloppy coding of MS. You usually cannot really destroy anything by uninstalling older stuff. What's required is simply re-offered by WU.
