Only uninstall the patch? Or is there another way?

I know how it fixed itself but I don't know why.

I was using system restore to recover the printer usability and it worked. Before the KB, no issues, after the KB no access to printer.

I spent hours trying to fix it with no success.

After posting I tried uninstalling the KB manually, rather than using SR and upon restarting Windows something went wrong and it failed with the message "undoing changes".

Windows restarted and I had the KB installed and a working network printer.

    :eek::eek::):)

Do you have any updates, recommendations or fixes in my recent post for the Ndp 48 KB5006060 x64?

Are you having the same problem as me, where the update says it completes but doesn't appear in the list of installed updates?

    Symptoms:
    update does/doesn't ask for reboot
if rebooted- no Windows installation activity (percent of update being installed)
    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\clr.dll has been updated
previous NET 4.8 update has not been removed
KB5006060 registry key exists, but only has default value- not package name, version etc.
KB installation appears to be incomplete

Edit: OK, I saw your original post where you're getting Error code: 1642, so these appear to be different problems with the installation of KB5006060.

Hi! I'm not receiving the Service Stack Update KB5006749 through Windows Update, though I did receive Monthly Rollup KB5006743 and .NET KB5006761. I tried the search option but it didn't find anything new. I know I can install the update manually but I'm a little surprised because it's the first time I have an issue like this since I use the ESU Bypass. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Thanks a lot to all the team.

Just optional updates, wich have been there for years and never caused any problem.

I was able to install KB5004755 with Simplix Pack, and the Separate Addons Package ( SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Tool_Addons_2_7_21.8.11.zip ). The latest package I could find is dated 21-8-11. Since I was unable to install KB5006060 correctly with BypassESU, I was wondering if @abbodi1406 had a more recent Simplix Addon package which might include the KB5006060 update.

Edit: I forgot to thank abbodi1406 for the wonderful addon packs already produced by him.

The latest Addon packages (DirectX 9.25, VCRedist and Dotnet 4.8) are in post #3 of the topic you linked.

The ones inside the tool are not updated as often, but the packages for download are updated monthly, once the patches become available. Just delete the old packages from your extracted tool and place the updated ones in.

Thanks! That worked like a charm. I must be blind because I looked in that section 3 or 4 days ago and thought that those were still older updates.
If you have time, one other quick question. My understanding is that these Net Framework updates are cumulative. Should I uninstall the older versions that are still present in Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates?

What about Server 2008? As it also have ESU updates until 2023, but based on Vista rather than 7

If you apply ESU for Vista will work fine

Same issue here. Any way to fix the problem without uninstalling the update KB5006743? Maybe some registry keys or group policies, etc.?

    Solved by accident.
The only way it may be reproduced may be turning off the computer when Windows is restarting after uninstalling the update.

I mean, if you want to gamble and see if it works for you too...

I lost hours trying to solve it without success.

The freaking thing won't uninstall... The PC reboots twice and some notification raises saying Program and Features was not able to uninstall something. And the update KB5006743 is still there...

The same happened to me, but the printer became accessible.

After restarting Windows started "Undoing changes" and ended up with the KB installed and the network printer working.

Have you tested the printer now?
