Sorry for the too late reply, but if I attempt to uninstall KB5006743 using dism or pkgmgr, I get error 0x80070005 (Access is denied), and also I noticed that there is no restore point before installing KB5006743, and if I attempt to uninstall this update using wusa.exe, I get error 0x80070490 (Element not found) UPD: I tried "upgrading" Windows 7 to 7, but it breaks anything, and also for some reason IE11 gets downgraded to IE8, and I have to reinstall Windows
After the installation of the printer can not use the situation, known to be affected by the machine Xerox 7780, Komet 754. machine printing test pages normal, direct printing pictures normal, but can not print documents, text documents can not. Limited ability to use the machine to translate the English.
For some reason, i am not able to receive windows posready7 updates despite installing the combo esu patcher from @abbodi1406. I was forced to manually install updates. Any fix?
WU verify WES7 ESU eligibility using WmiQuery and wuaueng.dll perform the WMI stuff internally, no external functions/dlls are directly imported it would be nearly impossible to patch or hook that
windows server 2008 r2 ESU ( bypass by @abbodi1406 ) works => for home server 2011 ( based on server 2008 R2)
so went to install the windows 7 November update and got an 0x80070424 the specified service does not exist as an installed feature error. went to check in the services control panel and it said windows update was scheduled for deletion and wouldn't let me activate it. now its completely gone from services any one know how to reinstall windows update
I have not been following this thread too closely because I have not had any problems (other than 1 which never worked to begin with). So excuse me if this has been asked and answered multiple times. Anyway as the end of ESU for Windows 7 is now a little over a year away, I have been thinking about just biting the bullet and upgrading to 10 right now. How will that work exactly? My original Windows 7 install was Home. If I just uninstalled Bypass ESU, could I just do an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 Home, or would I need Windows 10 Enterprise since my system has all these extra security updates not found on a system that has Home. Thank you.
If the current roadblocks can successfully be bypassed between now and January 2023, we should be able to keep getting Windows 7 updates until October 2024. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.
