I am still wondering if the current ESU Bypass will allow for manually installing the 4th year of Server 2008/R2 ESUs on Windows 7 next year (in 2023).

Depends on ESU suppressor version and distribution method. Otherwise we can modify MUMs to remove ESU component to allow update installation / integration (of course after installation must be modded files overwritten with untouched ones). And more crazy methods can be used. Everything depends on MS, just wait and see how it goes.

I installed KB5015626 a few days ago on a Win7 SP1 Pro based Sony laptop (using 1st gen Intel i3-380m CPU) with ESU Bypass v11 with no problems (this was a day before the May 2022 updates came out). not sure why a few others are getting problems

Hello. Thank you so much for this. Its truly a blessing. But I have to ask...Is there any solution currently for enabling the ESU updates on POSReady7?

that WSUS proxy thing worked for me only inside VM with Fiddler4 enabled
    didn't work otherwise

    (OP)
It's not easy to explain, as it was a one try shot

on Host OS, i ran the modded WsusProxy (port 8530) along with Fiddler (port 8888, and set ReverseProxyForPort to 8530)
in the POSReady7 VM, i set WUServer to 192.168.111.1:8888 (IP port for host VMnet1), and installed Fiddler root certificate

Being as though POSReady7 gets extended support for 1 year and 9 months longer than the other version (Jan, 14 2013 vs Oct 14, 2024), making it the longest supported Windows 7 experience, I think the community should come together and find a solution for getting ESU updates to work on it. Thanks for your contribution. If anyone here has any knowledge regarding the technical reason why the AIO script in the OP post doesn't work for POSReady7 I would greatly appreciate if they could share that info.

I have the same problem as Gartner, On Windows 7 with bypass esu v11. Fails to install with error code 80004005, tried usual tools to clean up updates and sfc and dism with same results. Work on on my other pc and also on a Windows 7 virtual machine running in virtual box.

With XP a simple registry hack tricked full versions into installing POSReady updates. If we're lucky someone will find a way to do it in Windows 7 as well.

I have seen the same thing on my machine. I was running v9 so I uninstalled it and tried v11 but install gets to 95% and reverts the changes over the course of 2 reboots.

I also tried a manual install of the update and got the same issue.

    7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I'm not sure about what to do after running the `Full installation` option. Can anyone point me to the right direction? Even an old post would suffice
