IF Win7 gets extended Microsoft will probably keep supporting Edge on it. Better than nothing considering I'm a Firefox user. At the very least Firefox 102esr is supported until July of next year and most likely the next esr through 2024 as so far no signs they're cutting support for it in the nightlies.

False positive. Virus scanners like to tag KMS tools as virus, probably on request of Microsoft. While that will not impress the nerd folks, it likely scares the casual users away. This principle is called FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).
True, during XP2ESD development I have added latest KMS that works under XP with Office 2010. And then Eset / AVG / Comodo deleted my files. So I tried some things and I ended with custom files resigning with Trusted Certificates Authority Will se how long they will stay non-flagged
we'll see if those ESU licenses and keys support will be included/retained in next month's rollups & updates come August 9 (next patch Tuesday)
I am patiently waiting until February 2023 to see if ESU updates for Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit will come to an end or if they will continue for another 3 years.
Added components to Rollup/Cumulative updates don't get removed in newer versions they are not obligated to use the added ESU licenses ESU KMS licenses were added in late 2020, but they are never used, so far
Actually, I don't be surprised that Microsoft extends update support for Windows 7 for another 3 years. We must remember that there are thousands of large companies, banks and corporations that are still using tens of thousands of computers with Windows 7 operating system (including thousands of ATMs around the world), and that changing the O.S. would cost them billions of dollars (euros, yen, pounds) and millions of mishaps of interruptions, loss of time, incompatibilities with the software they use, etc. I imagine that it has been a kind of more or less covert imposition by large corporations on Microsoft to extend the validity period of Windows 7 (especially for the 64-bit Pro, Ultimate and Enterprise versions) for another 3 years. "Mr MONEY is a powerful Gentleman". Microsoft continues to make money on ESU for a long time and large companies continue to safely save millions of dollars (Euros, Yen, Pounds) with the added 3 years.
