Later versions of windows (8+) include the CLR 4 (.NET 4.x) as "Windows feature", which makes removing/reinstalling it messy or impossible, since parts of Windows require it. This is not true for Windows 7, which only includes CLR 2 (.NET 2.0-3.5) as a "Windows feature". You may have seen Windows 10-centric literature bring up this topic in their typical fashion of assuming every mention of the word "Windows" equals Windows 10. This kind of misinformation is widespread on blog sites and MSDN alike, so it is good to practice skepticism and scrutiny for any information that refers to "Windows" without mentioning version. .NET 4.x is completely optional on Windows 7. You can uninstall/repair/reinstall it at will as many times as you desire. Control Panel > Program and Features > Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 I'm a newbie user so I can't post links, but you can search for ".net framework 4.8 offline installer" or ".net framework repair tool" to help you.
You're a genius!!!! I had an old external USB 3.0 drive attached to that machine. I know it's not in such good shape, but I would have never thought of associating it with the problem. I turned it off, ran the Bypass, and as we say, the update installed "slicker'n snot." Thank you very much Enthousiast. I don't want to sound obsequious, but the time and effort you (and Abbodi1406) devote to helping desperate people like me makes this list one of the truly valuable places on the web. My most sincere thanks. Stay healthy!
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and the valuable information you provided. Fortunately, as I've mentioned, with Enthousiast's kind help, I was able to isolate "the" problem and apply "the" solution.
KB5017529 I can not install it tried 100 times does not work Please help thanks Spoiler: Original text in German KB5017529 ich kann es nicht instalieren habe es 100 mal versucht geht nicht bitte um hilfe danke
Could you please explain what happens when you try it? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say? And which version of the .NET Framework are you trying to update, 4.7, 4.8??? Are you trying it from Windows Update, or have you also tried downloading the file and installing it manually? And are you using the "general" Bypass or the one specifically for the .NET framework?
I have a Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 with all the ESU updates installed without a glitch. Never in 3 years I have any trouble. It was activated with Windows 7 Loader Daz 2.2.2. Suddenly today it appears the notification that is not original. I wanted to reactivate but it can´t. It shows the following: Notification Reason: 0xC004F057 I have copied one image and after a few minutes it appears again. And the image was one week old without any trouble. Can anyone please help me what to do. Thanks
Unsupported partition table Delete KB971033 Removing residual license files: stop services - Microsoft Software Protection Platform (sppsvc.exe) Delete 2 hidden files: "C:\Windows\System32\7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-5P-0.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0" "C:\Windows\System32\7B296FB0-376B-497e-B012-9C450E1B7327-5P-1.C7483456-A289-439d-8115-601632D005A0" start services - software protection ...by itself in Windows 7 nothing happens... that's not a "UFO"... or use VL editions => KMS activation (on computer whose ACPI_SLIC table with a valid Windows marker)
Alright. First time trying BypassESU. Thanks for making it possible So, if recommended updates are installed as well as BypassESU-v9-AIO using option 1 and updates are being downloaded via WU afterwards but some fail, is it correctly understood that the next steps are: 1. Search for failed KB-number updates to install manually? 2. Maybe uninstall/reinstall .NET framework manually?
I don´t have KB971033 installed. Is there a simple solution because I don´t know how to resolve it. And why it appears suddenly, because I have tried other old images with the same problem?
enesalpa I don't know any other answers. I mostly use GPT partition ( => KMS activation or license), but this is the first time i hear that Windows Loader v2.2.2 (оn MBR partition) "flew" from nothing or after the update in September. BypassESU-v11-AIO will help you install: a) Install ESU Suppressor - set Monthly Rollup KB5017361 _9.2022 and KB5013637_5.2022 .NET Framework 3.5.1 (in WU - KB5017529 _9.2022) b) Install .NET 4 ESU Bypass - set Security and Quality Rollup for your .NET Framework, for example, .NET Framework 4.8 KB5017036 _9.2022 (in WU - KB5017529 _9.2022) All other updates have nothing to do with BypassESU, what to do with them is up to you.
I was reading the kb for the 8.1 september rollup and found this: It's part of the EOS warning at the top of the page, like the one at the top of the Win 7 rollup pages. I can't post links because I'm "too new" of a user. So please search for "September 13, 2022—KB5017367 (Monthly Rollup)" with your preferred search engine for the citation. I've seen discussion in this thread and elsewhere about Win 7 ESU keys for 2023 and beyond, but we don't know if future ESU updates will actually be made for those years. One popular bit of hope/conjecture is that a Windows 8.1 ESU program is likely; therefore, the teams and resources at M$ behind ESU will persist and thus Microsoft's ability to continue the NT 6 family ESU programs will be retained. The quote from KB5017367 is troubling. Is it true? We all know well that M$ says one thing publicly, then does another in private. Maybe M$ literature from the last months of 2019 have clues for us. Back then, did M$ ever expressly state they will not offer an ESU program for 7? If so, perhaps it is their protocol to lie about the ESU program's existence until the last possible day before it actually starts. I know this isn't directly related to the bypass, but this thread has a lot of discussion about the future of ESU so I figured it would be best to post this here. Maybe someone with insider knowledge can confirm or deny if Win 8.1 ESU is just a pipe dream, and how it relates to the likelihood of continued ESU years for 7.
My Windows after September Updates going "Unactivated" by itself, but... When I open the Computer Properties, it takes a bit longer time to show that the System is activated, and once shows it, the watermark on the right-down side disappears and everything “looks normal” - I use WES7... And without Windows Activation update KB971033 What can be the cause for this bug? Thanks
This even happened quite a few times with official/genuine activations in the past, if it now shows activated it will be OK.
rotflmao, Overwatch 2 requires KB4534310 or KB4539602 which has been supersceded with ESU updates, and no longer installable. Installing KB4539602 may work
