    Hello,
this solution worked for me too, thanks for your workaround.
It remains a quite strange problem

Hmm, so after installing this and rebooting after installing the first updates, my PC ends up in a bootloop, even on safe mode. Any ideas?

try installing them one by one and reboot after each one, not all at once
if they still won't install, skip them

Well with tomorrow being November 1st, and with only 2 months left to the year, do you think it is now less likely that MS extends Win7 ESUs past year 3? My opinion is, if they were going to do it, they would have announced it in early Oct. to give 3 months notice of continuing 7 ESUs. Or does MS want to wait till the last minute to get more companies to move to 10 or 11?

No c aka preview update for the december month.

Only the usual patch tuesday updates (and maybe when needed an Out Of Band update).

From KB5020000. This is impossible to miss and is directly below the other quote that everyone is talking about. Why is no one talking about this? It is the far more scary notice of the two.

KB5020019 (November 2022 rollup for Server 2008) does not have this notice. Are we meant to believe that Microsoft is ditching 7 but keeping NT 6.0? That would be utterly bizarre, but that is nothing new for Microsoft. It would be absurd if Vista - which I love dearly but is simply inferior to 7 for everything except DRM-infected audio - is effectively more secure than 7 in 3 years because of receiving additional ESU while 7 does not.
