Now will take longer time to come and pop up on the update list, because is the EOL of Windows 7, but WES7 and POSREADY7 are still on the support.
Will be a little mess in January and February... Let's see what will happen

security updates for the Embeded windows have EXACTLY the same MBs as the ones for standard desktop windows. These will continue until October this year. Is there a trick perhaps to manually install these from February on? And yes, eventually updates for POSReady will be our last chance until October 2024, in order to keep win7 alive for 15 whole years (and hopefully even more)!

If only people would actually wait instead of spamming this thread with their hope and dread. (And yes, I do realize that I'm now guilty of piling more on top ...)

ESU certificates with an extension of 6 years are already in the system. They have been added to updates since September last year..

Yeah, I was looking for that, too. I only see 12/2022 updates when I do a search in the catalog.

    No Service Stack updates, either.

Looks like only the security update is available this month, the last one.

Open the KB 5022338.msu with 7zip, extract the cab, then, create on your "C:" drive the folder "update" placing the cab file inside the created folder, and run the following DISM command: DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\update

    Hello,

Just to clarify things for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit support ends for any windows update on January 10, 2023. So after that there will be no more updates. Is that correct? Please advise?

As was mentioned in Post #6800... Security Essentials/Defender are not part of the MicroSloth ESU program so they should continue.

Windows 7 ESU was end in 10 january 2023
Google Chrome 109-110 will be the last version that support Windows 7
Google Chrome end suppory for windows 7 in 10 january 2023
Firefox ESR will end support for windows 7 in august 2023 (dev they still discuss about the supporting windows 7 in firefox i think they support this because they want (windows 7 chrome users) to move to firefox browser that mean more marketshare for company)
Rumours:Steam support will end in 2023 but unknown date or month

if you want to use Windows 7 USE IT YOUR OWN RISK or use Linux Desktop like Zorin os,etc

i think there is other browser that still support windows 7

that will not help you against big security hole in OS ,just move to Linux Desktop or use Windows 10 LTSC
