Hello, again. Problem solved. My love for optical media is the culprit. I had recorded the Bypass folder *unpacked* on a data DVD using some ancient software. Nero, 7zip from a decade ago. Something trimmed those long filenames. I put the original filenames back and all is working well. Thank you, Abbodi. Keep up the good work lol
Thanks Carlos, Until your message I was only aware of d e s k m o d d e r .de being the public source for acquiring BypassESU released versions and the new WU ESU Patcher (Standalone) - just for all the not-so-"tech savvy" folks. I'll take onboard your words rephrased as : "The only valid updated source for BypassESU", and then some. I appreciated your forthcoming about this forum's first page.
I'm on Windows 7 Pro (x64) and been using the new ESU Bypass 12 to manually download and install Embedded 7 updates, with no problem. Today I downloaded KB5025277 Security Only for Embedded 7 (x64). When I try to install it I get this error message:- Can anyone advise me what I've missed? Thanks guys. Bah, ignore this...I had wuauserv disabled. I've set it to "manual" and the update has installed.
Moin @ All! My April 2023 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 systems: "Licensing method": KB4528069 & "new" BypassESU-v12 "Installing method": Manual download and installation via Microsoft®Update-Catalog KB5025277 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows Embedded 7 Standard / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) -> succesfully installed The following additional updates were offered by the Microsoft servers via the Windows Update Search and were also successfully installed: KB5025915 (.NET 6.0.15 Security Update for x64 Client) & Security Intelligence-Update for Microsoft Security Essentials. @ abbodi1406: Thx for your support! Great job!
Just like last month, I get quality updade but not security, last month I manually installed it (I can't find how to insert an image here) I chose option 3 : r2 +7 (embedded doesn't work at all)
Two VMs updated again. One Win7 Pro VM with WSUS Proxy and a Server 08R2 with Bypass v11. Thanks to @abbodi1406 & the gang for keeping several ways to install the updates going. I have been here since late 2019 & for 2.5 yrs kept several real hardware updated with your scripts.
Thanks a lot Manchita ! but I see no such thing !!! (All I see is asks for a URL) I guess, I haven't made enough posts ! so here is what I get with bypassesu v12_u and standalone esu patcher option 3 : https : // ibb.co/r7dVNjp (remove the spaces) I removed .net4 updates as recommanded
When replying, click more options to see if you have the upload file option at the bottom of the page instead using the image icon on the top banner which ask for a url. This will let you upload a .jpg file.
@francesfarmer, I had a look at the screenshot in your link, but the quality was so blurry I couldn't read details. Hopefully one of the other better qualified members can help more.
Guys, if you just download from catalog.update.microsoft.com and install without ByPass v12 and ESU Patcher, will it install?
No. If that was true, then the bypass tool wouldn't exist, this thread wouldn't exist, and none of us would even be here talking about it. Read the OP.
April Patch Tuesday v12 & ESU bypass worked flawlessly for me on my Acer 64 bit Win7 Home Premium laptop. WU Gave me both options again (embedded 7 x64 & Server 2008 R2). I hide the 2008 R2 & update with the embedded 7 AFTER turning my security software off. Restart, And the hidden 2008 R2 disappears. No .NET updates this time or last. WU is continuously providing security updates between Patch Tuesday updates. THANKS to entire team for keeping our systems alive & well beyond the MS "kill" dates.
