    Well, now it seems I have another issue.

    For some reason, 2024 embedded updates don't show up in WU, even though I'm running WSUS.

    I have installed the 2023 embedded updates just fine.

    There is a Bypass for W7, W8 and W8.1 and corresponding Server versions so there's no reason why there won't be one for W10.

    I recommend as soon as the system is installed, first install the updates and then the drivers and finally the antivirus and the programs.

    Moin @ All!

    My June 2024 ESUpdate experience for Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 systems:

    "Licensing method": KB4528069 & "new" BypassESU-v12

    "Installing method": Manual download and installation via Microsoft®Update-Catalog

    KB5039274 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows Embedded 7 Standard / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) -> succesfully installed

    KB5039339 (Servicing Stack Update for Windows Embedded 7 Standard / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) -> succesfully installed

    The following additional update was offered by the Microsoft servers via the Windows Update Search and was also successfully installed: Security Intelligence-Update for Microsoft Security Essentials.

    @ abbodi1406: Thx for your support! Great job!

    I want to thank everyone. Yesterday I installed the updates for June 2024, including KB5039274 (Security Only Quality Update for Windows Embedded 7 Standard / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) and KB5039339 (Servicing Stack Update for Windows Embedded 7 Standard / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1), all installed without issues.

    The obsolete mini laptop works excellent. Before, since it gave problems with the installation of updates, it seemed that it worked a little slower than usual. The updates have greatly optimized performance.

    Note: ATOM N455 || 2GB RAM (1x2) ddr3 @1333 mhz || SHDD (hybrid drive) 500 GB Seagate || Win 7 Starter x86 [OEM] + Manjaro XFCE x64 (Linux) ||

    Grateful to @abbodi1406 and the rest of the experts here who have helped me.

    Sorry if there are typos, but I don't understand the English language very much.

    Why are all the latest 3.5.1 updates already installed eg April is the same as May? What's the point of releasing them again in the update catalog? It's frustrating to manually download and install them just to realize you installed them last month anyway.

    And they truly updated the date stamp? Usually, the latest updates stay in the catalog with their old date stamp.

    I wonder if the CVE-2024-30078 vulnerability patch was also included in the last June update of Windows 7? I hope so. Microsoft does not mention Windows 7 anywhere and the vulnerability itself is very disturbing and scary.
    Microsoft does not state that the vulnerability exists in Windows 7, but it does exists in Windows Server 2008 and that means Windows 7 is affected as well.
    Is there anything to be afraid of if we use the Windows 7 Embedded updates channel instead of Windows Server 2008? I hope not.
    Can anyone with knowledge of the subject write more about it? Thanks in advance!

    Whether you use the Rollup that's specified for Embedded or Server does not matter in the end.
    If you extract the Rollup you'll notice a pkgProperties file that mentions the following :

    ApplicabilityInfo="Windows 7.0 Client SP1;Windows 7.0 Server Core SP1;Windows 7.0 Embedded SP1;Windows 7.0 Server SP1;Windows 7.0 WinPE 3.1;"

    The Rollups will just install the updates (packages) according to which version you have installed.
    Using one or the other will produce the same result.
