Much appreciation to abbodi, Ehthousiast, IMI Kurwica and mspaintmsi!! I have been following this thread for about a month and a half. I've followed the directions/suggestions. I installed Bypass 4 seamlessly (abbodi's instructions were perfect!). I went to the first thread today to follow instructions for Bypass 5 installation. I downloaded Bypass 5. Even though I was sure I had the 5 prerequisite WU installed, I searched for them in updates, and each time it said the update couldn't be found, so I installed each of them again, and then rebooted. I right clicked on LiveOS-Setup, clicked run as administrator and the cmd window opened. I was ready to click number 1 as recommended, though it doesn't give me that option. The only options are 3 (which is Install WU ESU Patcher) or 9 (which is exit). Any ideas please? Thanks so much!! : )
If you have the ESU test update installed, or the Lite version of it (which does NOT appear in Installed Updates), everything is in place, already. All you need is option 3, to make WU great again!
Actually, from my perspective, the way the instructions on Pg 1 make it sound, the only version of the test update that makes v5 of the bypass work is the regular version, NOT the lite one. Of course, I could be wrong on that...
Yes, that helped. I altered the Live.cmd to check if the directory and the files exists and to create and copy them if necessary.
Lite package contains all the bypass magic of the ESU test update. It works exactly the same. Only difference was that the full ESU test update required a Bypass to even install, the Lite package doesn't.
Thank you for the excellent work and support. V5 did the job under W7 ultimate 64bit without any problems. 3 errors were reported on my W7 Ultimate x86 netbook with "Failed installing KB4528069 Package." Finally I manually copied KB4528069 to the installation folder according to dism.log. Then it went through and everything is fine.
Do the source code exist for the tiny executable files in this latest (v5.0) package? I'm referring to bbe32/64.exe and sle32/64.dll .. superUser32/64.exe source code seems to be published publicly by @mspaintmsi
I only had the security updates installed in february, now thanks to v5 I am also offered the monthly rollup update. Could I switch back to the monthly rollup in march ?. I think installing the february rollup makes no sense now or leads to an error (?)
Enthousiast, when using Bypass-v5 with WUFUC, does it matter which order they are installed? (assuming both have never been installed on the computer)
I don't know for sure but from what i read, one dev first installed the bypass and next wufuc and all worked, and i think the members who reported it to be working in this thread were already running wufuc before using the bypass. I will test tomorrow
