Why does everyone keep posting about IoT LTSC 2021? Assuming there is a difference between "IoT LTSC 2021" and regular "Enterprise LTSC 2021"?
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC: General-purpose applications installed by user/customer Computer boots into Windows shell Licensed against end user company General purpose intended use Pricing $230-$295 depending on end-users Short lifecycle 5 years of support cycle Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC: Dedicated application installed by OEM Device boots into application Licensed against hardware Dedicated appliance intended use Pricing $145 depending on processor Long lifecycle 10 years of support cycle I didn`t put the details of licensing since I don`t think it matters.
Thread title is misleading when I don't believe there was ever an IoT LTSC 2019. (or if there were , it didn't gather the attention and anticipation as much as LTSC 2021 has) Would be no different than if I went into Server 2019 thread and asked for an ISO file for Server 2016..or some off the wall other variation.. Now buzz off
Correct me if I'm wrong but why would you ever want to use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 IoT? IoT, doesn't it stand for Internet of Things? Why would it be better then regular LTSC Enterprise? Again, why all these different editions? So IoT Windows 10 is like a follow up to Windows 8.1 Embedded?
