I think key no 51 should do the trick he he ! The fact is that some of those so called "student serials" do in fact work depending on where you are living. "Geographically Blocked PID" means they aren't blocked everywhere.
yeah I found out after I trying all 50 keys...... so I am taking this route now...this will not fail me
Yeah....I figured as much, but every time wasted looking for a key can't be regained....so I will have fun with this since I already have hp oem cd.
I updated the VLK_TO_OEM.exe file today. Important improvement ! It now reads the file version and servicepack level of your installation, and applies the correct dll files for you. The app contains retail servicepack files for ALL English versions. Earlier when the app only contained sp3 files, it wouldn't go well if applied to earlier XP versions (SP0,SP1 etc). I understood that when examining the MS converter, as it contains 5 filesets of pidgen.dll,dpcdll.dll. Now mine does to.
I use Hewlett Tattoo to tattoo my Ga-7nnxp when I built myself awhile back, then used VLK2OEM changer by 911medic everything worked fine. It showed windows was genuine and activate, then I downloaded and installed updated. A day after installing updates it started showing "Windows is not Activated"? What could be the problem or wrong dmi area? Is there a link on here I can download dmicfg? I have search xp forum and nothing.
This is what I found when I ran the OEMBIOS.exe in all the hp CRC wasn't there anymore. So I re-ran the Hewlett Tattoo and re-tattoo the board again and "Windows is not activated" disappear. I wonder if is will hold or will it get removed again?? That's just weird.
Alright...the Hewlett Tattoo isn't holding......when I restart the computer it's gone..... Where can I download dmicfg.exe on here?
I already did use the tattoo disk both the hewlett choice and the dos mode choice. They worked but after I restart my pc a few times the bio mod isn't there anymore. I don't understand why the tattoo mod isn't sticking after restarting a few times I was asking how to use dmicfg.exe, if I need to run it from dos.
Some BIOS do not allow editing of the DMI area with those tools. I've seen phoenix where you cannot edit DMI, and for Intel you need their tool to edit dmi and make a new ROM image with the edited DMI fields.
There is another program called dmiscope it will let you edit in windows, if your bios dmi can't be edited then the option wont be available.
I think I got it.....I used DMICFG in dos and added HP in system information and Base Board information. It's working fine now......I restarted a few times and the HP CRC are still there. Thanx guys...
DMIScope is old.. It can work, but more than not the DMI does not persist after reboot. dmicfg, crystal dmi, and AMIDMI are VERY consistent..
