Delete\Remove Defender from the install.wim Is it possible ?

    Well I just tried an install and it would not. I broke summet, real good..

    Bugger that. But hey. had fun trying.

    Your efforts have not been in vain. Thanks for trying. I'll be sure to run murphy78's windows defender disable/enable script as the first tweak after installing windows 10 from now on.

    Try to deploy it with DISM or Imagex

    Sorry...

    Still don't get that with regard to what I did.

    It got part way into the install then threw a wobbly. More to do with what the .exe thing did, or should I say what I did with the .exe thing.

    Basically nothing. It's just an alternate (and faster) way to install windows.

    Maybe something you removed from the WIM breaks the setup way but not the imagex / dism way.

    Been messing with this now for the last few days and got it pretty much down.
    Managed to remove those hidded packages without the tweaker.exe

    You just have to take control of the packages key.
    set the visabilty to 1
    delete the owners key
    and run the DISM code

    release the control of the packages key and commit the changes.

    Job done.
