I fixed the link and tested it to work. The http got cut off before. This is Dell's official bios reset / editing software used by their technicians. I got the disc doing some contract work for them. It lets you reset corrupted bios, and it is great for removing bios lock. I have used this software 100's of times.

Hello, I possess a friend's Dell Inspiron e1505 ending with Service Tag 595B. The notebook is in BIOS lock and I cannot change Boot via F12. I am prompted to enter the code and am only given 3 chances before the machine powers down. I've researched the web and have located some blogs suggesting to try a few different popular passwords, all of which of course failed. I downloaded the dell_595b_2a7b_keygen.zip file that was supposed to run on a different PC to generate a password and that failed as well. I am scouring the internet in search of either a password that will let me into the boot sequence where I can wipe the drive and reinstall the OS, or a working utility that will generate a functioning password. I know mobo's can be found online for cheap, but this is a friend's dinosaur laptop and I doubt he'd want to spend any $ on something so out dated. Any ideas? TYIA
