I copied in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\ folder previous version (Canary) (127) and to day after install the new version (130) :replace its same folder and look about the version: this is ...127 and there is a error message
The only folder you need to copy/backup or move/overright is the DEFAULT folder from C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data Basically what you did was copied all the older version ontop of the new version... I don't know if you can fix this now, but I would backup/copy the DEFAULT folder somewhere safe, and uninstall then reinstall the latest version again... then allow browser to open, click button to restart not in admin mode, close browser, and then copy/overright the DEFAULT folder with your backup folder. Once done, open browser and all your settings, extensions, logins, history, favorites, etc. will all be there... Enjoy!!! FOR BACKUP PURPOSES... Once you get your browser setup the way you like it, backup the DEFAULT folder from C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data If you make any major changes to the browser, back it up again... But if anything was to happen, all you have to do is reinstall browser, let it load properly, close it out and then overright the DEFAULT folder with your backup to restore all your settings!!!
Edgium is the SUPERIORITAI browsashian@! Its: - Fastur than old Edge, old IE, old Firefox, old Chrome, its just FASTUR! - Uses the latest experimental tech, takes advantage of of the latest network settings in the latest Windows 10 (1809) - True App, NOT an AppX, runs on LTSB/LTSC, no neeed to integrate, juist download and RUN - Its purdeh, fluid with fluency of the fuildity of modern Win10 sharp abrupt 90 degree "ouch it hurts!" edgy look and feel - NetFLIX AT TEN EIGHTY PEE! That's right, even though Netflix denies it, Edgium can do 1080p streaming (just like old Edge, IE, and MS Store Netflix AppX), unlike Chromium/Chrome/Firefox/Opera that can only stream Netflix at 720p Its actually GOOD, one of the BEST decisions MS made.
I WANT TO use my usernames, paswords, bookmarks, history after reinstall or another pc. Sync. is not working
Are you using Canary (which only allows syncing of profile and favorites for now) or Dev (last time i installed only allowed profile syncing) or a portable version of app. The default folder has worked for every version i have used so far, including the first leaked builds and now all Canary Builds from Microsoft. This also includes coping my default folder onto my other computers as well, which maintained everything i have setup on my main computer with the lastest version 130 (favorites, settings, extensions, and flags i have enabled). When in doubt, start from scratch... Reinstall Edge clean, set it up properly again (5 mins max), install extensions and make setting changes. Close out Edge and then copy Default folder somewhere else for backup purposes. And don't forget, any major changes you make, close out Edge and copy Default folder again to maintain all new changes going forward. Note: Copying the DEFAULT folder can be large in size but is a full copy of your account/profile, favorites, extensions and all your Edge Settings (including Edge:Flags)... Keep in mind that once Edge is out of testing and is ready for prime time, all the syncing that is currently turned off right now will be enabled; and getting your favorites, extensions and other account items will be easily retreiveable once signed in with your account (just like Chrome), on any Edge browser, and on any computer going forward!!!
I'm using edge canary latest version on w10 pro x64 english. Does anyone know why when I want to watch something on netflix it stays at the loading screen and never changes. This only happens when I disable Windows Defender Firewall. If its enabled netflix loads the show or movie fine. That would be ok if I used Windows own firewall but I use Comodo. Btw this doesn't happen with other browsers.
