I removed and reinstalled Office 2019 Preview. No issue whatsoever. My question, if we had Office 2016 as MSI installer - How can we upgrade to Office 2019? If C2R is the only way to install then previous Office 2016 MSI installed copy cannot be upgraded without removing. That will be a pain. I hope there is an alternative way to perform the upgrade. Look forward to that info in the near future upon final release of Office 2019.
Please forgive me for being out of the Office 2019 loop thus far as far as activation is concerned. I understand that it's still in preview stage and all. What are the current activation methods for 2019 at the moment? Retail? VL via KMS? EDIT: My apologies, I was able to figure out everything with the MDL OfficeRTool and it's working great.
If I installed Office 2019 can it run at same time as Office 2016? Any conflicts with Office 2016 when installed/removed Office 2019? Please. Thanks.
I know a limk for downloading Office 2019 files; h*t*t*p*s*:*//techhelpday.com/microsoft-office-2019/ MOTE: remove * for I don't have rights yet for posting URL. I would like to know whether these files are for RETAIL or VL ? C2R installation seems to be used.
Thanks for above. Oh my, they are RETAIL not VL! I used to get VL of Office 2016 from this forum, this time for Office 2019VL I couldn't find that yet. Anyone has an idea when VL of Office2019 is to be released as RTM like as Office 2016 ? h*t*t*p*s*://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4133311/how-to-participate-in-the-office-2019-commercial-preview-program tells "Thank you for your interest in the Microsoft Office 2019 Commercial Preview program. This preview program is intended only for organizations that plan to deploy the perpetual (volume licensed) version of Office 2019 when it's released later this year."
probably released in conjunction with redstone 5 windows 10 v 1809 and server 2019 september/october timeframe so i suspect rtm should be end of august for us insiders in time for release in september
@Enthousiast Do you know how can i download packages for office 2019 with setup..exe without installed?
If I understood your question right, use https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-14#post-1125229 to download office using ratzlefatz's OfficeRTool. Choose ([D] DOWNLOAD OFFICE OFFLINE INSTALL PACKAGE) to download the required package, then use ( INSTALL OFFICE SUITES OR SINGLE APPS) to create an installation package. The C option will create a package with (start_setup.cmd) only, and the S option will create a package with (setup.exe). Both installations have to be started using (start_setup.cmd). You can then use your preferred tool to create an ISO out of the Office installation folder. There are other tools in the wilderness, like "OInstall" that can download a package with required components, like Word, Excel and Outlook only or the full suite, and compile an ISO and activate it as well...
YES, provided / downloaded setup.exe contains OS check and prevents installation if not running on Windows 10.
