"Install as normal from Office 2019 image willgive you OneNote" ... OneNote is not in my office 2019 image I downloaded. Unless I need to mount it to a disc.
maybe the reason why some have onenote and others don't is the windows 10 version on which office 2019 was installed? e.g. on LTSB/C you would not be able to use the onenote UWP app.. -andy-
But but but.... if 2 people have the same image of Office 2019 surely installing it would show what is being installed eg.word excel access PowerPoint etc. Mine excludes OneNote. Others have OneNote from the same image. I guess no one can explain this with 100% certenty.
Andy Just to elaborate - I simply installed from ProPlus2019Retail.img I have one Enterprise and one LTSB 2016 tested - nothing out of the ordinary. One difference I like to add: My Enterprise on native hw runs x64 and my LTSB runs in VM x86
OfficeRTool works great - is there any advantage in installing from the images at all, as both methiods use the same C2R method?
No. Additional advantage from OfficeRTool: You can install Office 2019 on Windows 7 and 8. Which is not officially supported by Microsoft. MS says: Office 2019 needs Windows 10.
Well, it certainly does install just fine, and the limitation to Windows 10 seems to be just a M$ scam. Do you reckon there are troubles to be expected with updating these non-supported configurations with Win8/Win7 ?
"Based on user feedback, Microsoft will incorporate [simplified ribbon ui updates] to Monthly Channel customers in the future, but unfortunately, the updated UI won’t be available for Office 2019 for Windows." www[dot]digitaltrends[dot]com/computing/outlook-for-windows-simplified-ribbon/ Can anyone confirm? edit: looks to be confirmed: "Purchasers of Office 2019 will, alas, not get the [ui updates] because, let's face it, Microsoft would really really like you to climb aboard the Office 365 train." theregister[dot]co[dot]uk/2018/09/05/outlook_updates_microsoft_ribbon/
I am looking forward to see if my Office19ProPlus2019R_PrepidBypass Edition will expire 1.1.2019. For than I am good.
I just installed proplus2019 on two different installations (one was LTSB 2016 and the other was enterprise 1803) and on both installations onenote was present. so, no idea what is happening to @maxama123 -andy-
Am I correct that all c2r installers need an online connection on installation, i.e. "while it lasts" means "as long as M$ allows the current versions to be installed"? But maybe someone will code an online emulator if M$ decides to go full Adobe and blocks the installation of current images or files downloaded with OfficeRTool :-o
home business can not be converted into a VL version, thanks. Then I must find Office 2019 Standard to install, pp is not an option for me
