Is my understanding correct on the following two points? - If you have "Office 2016" or "Office 2019" then it's feature-locked and all you get are security and bugfix updates, no new features. - If you want new features, you need "Office 365" Is there a "workaround" where you have a perpetually or KMS-activated copy of Office without having to sign-in with an Office 365 subscription, but still get new feature updates? I guess I'm asking is there a way to Perpetual or KMS-activate Office 365?
Install O365ProPlusRetail, then convert licenses to Mondo 2016 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1150042 you will get some of Office 365 features
Thank you for the information. Yes, I could do convert R2V and activate them all. Office2016 installer was useful to intall Office 2019 even in Windows 7 along with Office 2010 32bit. But I feel WOTOK cmd and the img files plus ODT modification IS MOST convenient for use. BTW, on Office 2019 RETAIL image version 16.0.10730.20102, I got a problem on "ProjectPro2019Volume" that makes "License has been changed" nag every time I lauch it !!!, and this is not the case on VisioPro2019Volume using along with Offfie Pro Plus 2019 Volume. I wonder that ProjectPro2019 still seems to be "NOT Perfect". Anyone got the same nag of ProjectPro2019Volume ?
In need of some help with Outlook 2019 - New Email Account My ISP (email) provider requires me to enter a user name (as opposed to email address), but i am unable to find the option in 2019 .... I am hoping that reinstalling Office 2016 (and then upgrading) is not the only option, or would said 2016 -> 2019 be considered the recommended method? appreciate any help/suggestion, thanks..
Does anybody know why the App Preferences for all but Project are greyed out and can't be selected in the Office Tool Plus application that was mentioned back at #919?
Go through the entire email setup and when it tries to login to the email account it will fail and let you edit the user name and password to whatever you want. I had the same problem as you, took a few minuets to figure out but now it's fine.
I think it is possible to use the Mail Icon in Windows System Control (control.exe). Same solution, if you dont need outlook, but just want to open a single outlookfile.pst
first question, answer = yes, second question, answer = yes and approved, what c6p0 wrote: deinstall Office 2019 and reinstall Office 2019. Tried this with wotok_mdl Script on Windows 7 Pro, working. Just change the files in the office\data folder every 3-6 month.
The idiotic mode can be disabled like this: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Setup] "DisableOffice365SimplifiedAccountCreation"=dword:00000001
Hi @ratzlefatz Not sure if this has been asked / addressed already so apologies if going over old ground.. I have up until today been using your tool to regularly download 365 ProPlus with Visio And Project. I have also updated various installs online. All this has pretty much worked flawlessly. Today out of curiosity I download (with your tool) 365 PP 2019 and created an offline installer inc. Visio and Project. Perhaps unwisely? I installed this over an existing 365 PP (2016) base. Having said that the install went fine, and I noticed that the VL conversion and activation process went absolutely fine too although reporting successful conversions and activations of BOTH the 2016 and 2019 installs. The suite is running fine showing 2019 in the "about " screens and all activated. My question..is this (dual) setup going to cause me issues? Perhaps when I try to update online? Should I have fully removed my previous install? Looking in the Program Files (x86) folder it all looks like nothing has changed (referencing Office 16). Perhaps this is all normal and 2019 is just a seamless evolution of 2016 in 365 world? I note also that qewlpal's 7.2 RC2 works fine with this setup (I use it to get perpetual activation). So I'm guessing there is no substantial underlying difference between 2018 and 2019. Many thanks.
In regards to "you will get some of Office 365 features", do you know which ones you will not get? Also, does KMSpico support maintaining it's activation?
Office 2019 is a rebranded Office 2016. But Office 2019 (compared to Office 2016) is not that really big software (r)evolution. The only evolution you may find in subscription SKU Office 365. But Office 2019 is not equal to Office 365. The newest features are always in Office 365, not Office 2019. Best practice is always not to mix Office installations. This means, you must remove an existing Office installation. I suggest to remove this "mixed" Office with FixIt-Tool and then reinstall.
