NO !!! the exe files are the web-online-instaler (little different from the .img files) .img are a fixed timestamp web installer use always the latest fixed files (for the version of the web-installer) <- this is not automatic the latest office product version
Oh, sorry, I was mistaken. It's the Office Add-ons that you extract the img file and use the exe to install the selected add-on? The add-on img wont install without the exe? I want the latest 2019 proplus with all the add-ons except skype.
After reading and analysing various posts and instructions here, is it good to conclude that Office 2019 doesn't have VL natively and that I need to run a separate tool every time in order to convert the installation from retail to VL? Is the Semi-Annual Channel (Business-Production-DC) a retail version too?
@Pareto Optimal inside Office folder you will find Setup32.exe and Setup64.exe i never tried installation from .img on x64 system, so i cannot tell if it choose 64 bit Office or not
1. On the contrary, Office 2019 is officially ment for enterprise VL usage, and provide Retail fork for consumers but VL SKUs have some difficulties: - they don't have easy to use setup.exe installers, you must use ODT - they must be installed from Perpetual2019VL channel range however, with OfficeClickToRun.exe method, we can bypass those restrictions 2. Channels do not define licensing, Perpetual2019VL channel is a special exception you can install VL or retail from same channel
I have a R2V conversion problem on my laptop: ProPlusRetail installs just fine, but neither Convert-C2R nor OfficeRTool can detect the installation. My suspicion: It's a rather new Dell XPS13 that came with a Office365 time-limited test version that I uninstalled after a few days. I suspect that somewhere hidden the system still thinks it is O365 although it's O2019 installed now. I used o15-ctremove of course, but it did not help.
@Akko Try this: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/discussion-microsoft-office-2019.75232/page-33#post-1466365
Thanks anyway. I tried the steps mentioned, but still after scrubbing Off2019 cannot be detected by retail-to-volume converted, although it is really installed.
Run this in command prompt and report result Code: reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration
But thanks for the registry hint I managed to do it "the brutal way" by copying the missing registry entries from a second PC and by reinstalling O19 just over it again. However KMS-VL-All hung thereafter, but MTK did it then. I have no explanation. The laptop is about new.
Yes, sure. Now I suspect it is just my machine, perhaps some disk or registry access rights issue (yes, I installed with elevated rights). I'll have to dig deeper.
Hi guys, i usually do my research but I just can't keep up with the many activation techniques of newest office products here and this has become a PITA for me. So sorry for the inconvenience if this has been answered several times. I now downloaded newest - officeRtool - kms_vl_all 1 (SppExtComObjHook.dll) - kms_vl_all 2 (SECOPatcher.dll) - yaoctri - deploy-n-install - c2r-r2v and some more. Once I was able to install o2019 with officeRtool or deploy-n-install (i don't know) from extracted iso on win10 by selecting the setup.exe later changing license type and activating it with "kms_vl_all 1" if i remember it correctly some month ago. My question is 1. what app/script should I use to install o365 and change its license to mondo so it could be activated with kms with the least steps? (I prefer using win7/8.1). 2. Do o365 get security fixes (as o2019 doesn't recieve to my knowledge) if I install it on win7/8.1 or should I stay with o2016? I'm not talking about if it is supported but if it is possible to update or not. 3. Are there any solutions that activate these after a time period by using system service such as autokms or task scheduler? Thanks for your answers. Also don't get me wrong as you are all that skilled I'll never be but so many talented people couldn't just join arms and build a single elegant solution, it is so fragmented now?
