I wanted to install Professional Plus 2021 along with Visio, but when looking at the .img files the Visio one was basically the same size as the ProPlus .img file. Didn't seem to make sense that a single product had the same installer size as the main Office suite, so I investigated further.

I ended up using the wonderful YAOCTRI to create a custom installer script and that actually worked even better, since I could install everything from the single ISO as well as prevent the installation of things I'd normally have to uninstall after (mostly Teams and OneDrive).

 

My fave Office tool too, if you haven't already got it, don't miss the new updated v10.5 which was posted yesterday.

Windows 8.1 yes (and probably 2012 R2)

Windows 7 no, need extender, and not compatible

Windows 8 need extender, but might not be compatible too

 

So, Office 2021 will not run on Windows 7/2008 R2?

Why don't you try ?
As already said twice, it will not work, i.e. it will refuse to install.
If by miracle it nevertheless installs, either you will be happy or you can simply uninstall.
