I have updated 2 computers; Office 2019 to 2021 (16.0.14026.20246) and Windows 20H2 to 21H1 Build 19043.1023, on both. However, on one computer the Menu layout and icons did not update, as below: While on the other I got the new layout and icons as below: Does anyone know how to switch between the layouts and icons?
I wanted to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling, it would be a job and a half for the emails and the user wouldn't like that either. I will try the repair option, if it works I will report it. Update: I was able to fix the menu issue as follows: 1- Remove licenses 2- Use repair (Control Panel --> Uninstall --> Change --> Repair "quick option") The above resulted in returning the installation to Office 2019 Retail Suite. 3- Converted to Volume License 4- Upgraded to Office 2021 Suite 5- Activated, all is well.
Wanted to ask, 6- Afterwards, run command prompt as administrator, and execute: Code: reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office /f reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office /f the above one succeded, but the below one said "access denied, i trieg using registry edit and changing the permissions but also didn't work. Is the below code important for cleanup? All steps before already succeeded, thanks.
Hello, yeah. After that i installed Microsoft Office Pro Plus LTSC 2021 - Volume, and Visio Pro Plus LTSC 2021, with 64 bit. Installation with Office Tool by Yerong, 64 bit, channel Office Perpetual Enterprise, with installation module Office Deployment Tool. Installation finished and all worked fine. After that i restarted. Then i entered key for Office and Visio. Checked visio and word and confirmed that the activation works successfully. An hour after that i restarted my computer. Then i get Blue screen error driver_irql_not_less_or_equal tcpip.sys can't boot Keep restarting and says the same thing, then windows enter recovery process. I tried using safe mode and it didn't work. Do you have any explanation as to why this might happens? Thanks.

@JeepWillys58 The KMS server is not a real server, but a local service running in the background on the pc. In this case the address is: 10.11.12.13 To activate Office, I recommend KMS_VL_All: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/kms_vl_all-smart-activation-script.79535/
Depends on the installation and activation method. Above I published the keys that should be release (no preview). See which key was used.
