Just a quick note, definitions for SEP 12.1 will no longer be updated.. 5 days right now for the end... Code: Endpoint Protection 12.x clients no longer download updates from Symantec LiveUpdate, any SEPM (12.x or 14.x), or an internal LiveUpdate Administrator as of May 17th 2021. *There will be no new 12.x definitions after May 17th 2021 and these clients will no longer update after this date via any means. These clients must be updated to a supported version to continue receiving updates. *Intrusion Prevention, Proactive Threat Protection, and all other content are not available for download through any means.
Thank you LostEd !! Waiting for Full Installation_SL EDIT: I cannot Add Package new 4615.2000 into SEPM 3580.1100 both Spanish. So I wait for Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU2_Full_Installation_SL.exe to udate SEPM. Thank you!
Hello! I have this version on 2 XP machines in Spanish. When I update IPS definitions I have an error. But in English, the IPS definitions stay on 2017 and no error. Do you have same problem? Bye!
Updates for 12.1 ended yesterday. "Proactive threats" definitions ended in 2017. Today I wanted to update the "network threat" but it refuses. Virus and spyware protec, is ok.. at least for today.
Hello. I think I read somewhere that the 12.1 updates will be ok while updating from SEPM. I didn't power on WinXP machines for a while, we are in raining season with thunders every day so i just power my win10 machine on. I will tell you tomorrow if definitions are ok or not in 12.1 XP machines. Bye OK not waiting for tomorrow. As I said in older post, Spanish version gives error with IPS, Red Bar in SEP main window. English is OK with very old definition from 2017 and no Red Bar in SEP main window. Update was OK from LiveUpdate (ATTACHED PICTURE BELOW) but SEPM has send something also just after update. Don't know what, may be the same updates. OK reading your post: There will be no new 12.x definitions after May 17th 2021 and these clients will no longer update after this date via any means. OK Updated SEPM to .4615.2000 (14.3 RU2) First thing I notice is that old WinXP 12.1 SEP are not recognized anymore by this last SEPM version but I can still Add Package 12.1.7454.4000 32/64bit with no problems. SEP in WinXP updates ok today with LiveUpdate 19/05/2021 OK I had to edit Communications Policy and make new Policy with old 12.1 SEP Clients and go back to HTTP 8014 port even if I have XP with TLS enabled and previous SEPM listened to HTTPS 443 to SEP 12.1 with no problems.
The checksums of the Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3 RU2 Spoiler Code: File SHA2 MD5 Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU2_All_Clients_EN.zip 17bb269515a6c5aba97fe8430f0c483f6e587fa127fc45c7adfed7dc9f43d251 ca6cc2d55cd85000363a11c835d846af Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU2_All_Clients_JP.zip e5bc33de95fa25c0a0df66f04efbfadee82ca582b0ebbee03815d130e035fe8a 62f2cd167b04734222a3ea2f53eb6a7c Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU2_All_Clients_FR.zip 1e88e6bd54ade354ed24845fc74a5a551557cfef882cffe9481f7b1de246da39 cfd1f3a76f7e5a43c4b3570295799fb2
Does anyone know how to uninstall or disable the Symantec Endpoint Protection extension in Chrome? It was installed by SEP using enterprise policy so I can't do anything to it in Chrome.
Yes, new thing in Chrome....it blocks "dangerous" pages. I will wait. I'm sure there is o will be a cure soon! Also I will see in SEPM, I'm sure there is a way to remove that thing.
UPDATE 2: This method no longer works for RU4. Try this instead: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...ndpoint-protection.51100/page-63#post-1721393 UPDATE: I made some changes in regedit and it has been working since May 2021. I'm currently running 14.3 RU3 (build 5413). Survives reboots just fine. I'm using SEP unmanaged. Here is what I did: Search for this in regedit: pamolibmfebkknkdmfabpjebifbffbec One of the results should be this: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist Double click the string value that contains pamolibmfebkknkdmfabpjebifbffbec (I had only one there and it's named "1") Change the string. I just added "a" at the beginning so that it now reads: apamolibmfebkknkdmfabpjebifbffbec;https... Close and reopen Chrome I tried simply deleting the string value but it came back after a reboot. Keeping it but adding "a" seems to make it stick
