@TrustedMaN You can use any third-party application, capable to create ISO from a folder, or this "official" tool from Windows ADK: oscdimg.exe -u2 C:\VS2019Content C:\vs2019Enterprise.iso
How can I create an offline installation for the specific version 16.1.6 (layout)? This is necessary for me because after updating from 16.1.6 to 16.2 Visual Studio, my project (a monster class with about 26000 lines of code) always crashes with an OutOfMemory exception. This occurs reproducibly on several different machines. I have tried different versions (16.1.x) of the installer before (vs_professional.exe), but always get offline layout installations with an installation of version 16.2. Inside.
if you used the 16.1.6 installer then you (logical) downloaded the same version offline ( 16.1.6 ) are you sure that you used the corrent installer?
Thank you very much for your quick answer. After that I tried again with exactly the installer 16.1.6 (".../pr/183d290d-0d8b-476a-a316-4000ae8c4e54/bc940e9354fab6852993ed22fa328cfa/vs_professional.exe"), but again get after all, a content in the layout directory with a version 16.2 inside. I verfied the digital signature of the installer vs_professional.exe as signed on Wednesday , 3. July 2019 04:30:07
@abbodi1406 Thank you so much for your great support. Your hint from was worth its weight in gold. It worked fine now and created an offline package Vers. 16.1.6.
