    The problem is that these editions only allow to run apps.

    Thanks

    @LostED

    Cloud (/N) SKUs are incapable of KMS activation as no GVLK range is defined for them. Also you can't run Win32 apps normally on them.

    @balubeto

    As suggested by multiple times, please don't open new threads for already discussed topics. You need a valid Pro digital entitlement which is also eligible for Cloud/S.

    On the other hand, is there any specific reason to use this SKU?

    Hi,
    Please:
    I did an upgrade from “windows 10 build 1703 enterprise” - activated - to “windows 10 build 1709 enterprise” with the installation ISO file “SW_DVD5_Win_Pro_Ent_Edu_N_10_1709_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-50143.ISO”
    After this process, my note lost the activation.
    Is it right? Do I need to activate again?
    I think the activation is permanent.
    What can I do?
    Thanks

    for windows 10 build 1703 enterprise I used "SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_10_1703_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-36478.iso"

    for windows 10 build 1607 enterprise I used "SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_10_1607_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-07102.iso"

    I have no problems with office 2016 licenses.

    Depends on how it was activated.
    If you selected to keep the apps when upgrading it should be still activated, but defender could have hijacked the kms activation, so just run it again.

    How can disable Windows Update? From services, it disables but the first restart is enabled. Thanks!

    I haven't downloaded Windows 10 in a while, I can't find a link for Windows 10 Enterprise anywhere on this thread for this version. EN_US language is what I use, x64 architecture is what I use.

    I think will be be back to CU.. and FCU will install in VM.. many problem in FCU.. or maybe I use esd and then create iso with install.wim not install.esd(but I think that not real problem)..probably windows it self.
    I just remembering what @Enthousiast said in OP..
    I know that for preview, but first release windows too(Final). I try FCU for 3 or 4 not in vm, my main windows.. try enterprise/pro. and then try changing other build with change key. just as reported problem with activation in FCU.
    or I just still not more experience. VL to other VL windows with VL key. but failed(in key activation) or maybe I must install retail of windows.

    Just wanted to ask what went wrong upon my installation. Previously with win7 sp1 activated by daz. Generated genuine ticket. Clean install w10 using the multiedition vl iso, then followed the steps at the first post. But still, not activated.

    *not sure if it has something to do but my win7 was installed in mbr. I installed w10 in gpt

    **im referring to this method - link
