nope... did you clean installs? is drive not show in explorer? but can see in disk management?.. hope that show "raw" in there? I tried both plug in in usb 2.0 ands 3.0 port in my laptops, external drive still get mounted.
Clean install yes. Could be my USB ports are dying But other stuff works, except usb hdd's are not working (yes they are powered from external source). Will test with some live linux.
try check driver date.. I dont rely on ms driver update.. cause some rare case make trouble if update driver from WU.. maybe old mobo..
Well considering you quoted about v32 and abbodi has now updated it to v34 your guess is probably correct!
Maybe you have automount disabled. Try to open a powershell/cmd and write "diskpart" and then "automount enable"
thats not my problem.. never disable system.. see below post.. "still get mounted" in that post I'm asking to @kbal .. because got external drive problem
Hi, When I try to put my pc in standby mode after a few minutes it enters automatically in "sleep" mode and when I turn my PC on it says "System Resume..." How can I activate the real standby mode and avoid the sleep mode? Thanks
Guys is that possible that Windows Update use different lists depends on localized versions? I faced with situation that Russian version trying to install several updates twice. Tried on several machines with clean install. Now tried English version. Everything fine. No twice updates. Both versions from MSDN.
Open a cmd/powershell (admin) and write "powercfg -h off" That will disable the hibernation function. Warning, it will also disable the windows hiberboot feature (your system will shutdown faster but it might boot slower). User "powercfg -h on" to revert
