did we ever figure out if its a service not starting quick enough that loads later thats causing/fixing it once it loads or?
Can someone try this.... Enable via gpedit the Windows Defender AV Policy ("Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus") It is in Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Defender AntiVirus.... The thing is... it stays on... The AV will scan .exe files... Just by navigating it scan the files.
It's not fixed in 1903, iirc it's fixed in 20H1 and that fix will probably become available for 1903 too.
Ty Enthousiast gives me hope most fixes do trickle down at some point now to decide if I dare do an upgrade of 1809 or just clean install
Yes, that was the problem... had to do it via settings ... Can't find a policy to "Disable tamper protection" via gpedit. This will be a problem for some users
Never happened for me at least since v30, now on v86, but it's definitely laggy & not much snappier like the earlier / older versions. Also, the new black /dark theme is just s**tlooking & the ugliest I've ever seen. Presuming it'd take MS to another 6m to 1yr, 1/2 QU to fix this, actually, at this point, I've started to thinking that MS promote these bugs intentionally & don't fix to promote the other QU build to ensure users must upgrade & always looking for upgradation to get rid of some bugs, promotional strategy
Did last CU fix "sleep" bug? Previously, 1903 have wake up randomly from sleep. And also have memory leak (direct2D, direct3D) with Firefox and Games.
