Maybe something related to BIOS/UEFI settings? I didn't make any tweaks and default behaviour for my laptop's screen brightness is correct https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...c-rp-19h1_release.79259/page-118#post-1520778 My default setting in BIOS/UEFI is brightness 40% when disconnected from AC adapter
Yep, still that's irrelevant, it won't bring back the "usual" behaviour (plugged = x%, unplugged = y%, with x and y being whatever I want) - what has been working perfectly fine over the last decades, and that Microsoft just broke in this 1903 release (with the added injuries of introducing a fickin' slider, and removing any customization of x and y from either control panel or settings) But thanks for your efforts anyway.
@whitestar_999 regarding this: The OP of that thread has very old instructions about almost everything, no need for being offline or copying/rebooting to apply the ticket. People who know how it works and have created most of the content are banned from the thread and can't be bothered about the content anymore.
it's a staggered rollout: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...pc-rp-19h1_release.79259/page-90#post-1518413 But Microsoft could decide at any time not to release that feature with version 1903, just as they decided not to release the "friendly dates" in this version: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...c-rp-19h1_release.79259/page-119#post-1521018
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the /query command. Good look! Incidentally, is it just me or is balanced the only power plan available in this build? I'm gonna export the power schemes from server to restore things as they should be and make a new hybrid as I forgot that my original power saver / high performance file got messed up and I had to recreate it using balanced as the battery saving plan.
Yep, there's only one power profile ("Balanced") in my Win 10 Pro 1903. They're probably dropping support for the centralized "power management configuration", re-implementing the various settings and functions in many places... while creating inconsistencies / dropping configurability. Sigh.
Try this thread: (forums.guru3d.com/threads/new-driver-amd-26-20-11010-4-from-win10-update-insiders.426477/)
didn't get it still, are you talking about file explorer? or what? because that kind of auto expansion feature nowhere in the START in v1903, at least I've not seen any,
Can you give me any SS/video/GIF of that feature you're referring here as stagged, I know about friendly dates & Settings Headers are deferred as of now from v19H1, but not familiar with this one so asking.
hmm, then it seems it'd be a couple of CU, if not, then even a complete QU (19H2 or 20H1) to resolve this, typical MS
