If I want to stay on the main channel (not Insider) when 1909 finally goes public, should I install 18363.356 or 18362.10019 ?

You may not be aware of this, but 1903, the March 2019 release, didn't release in March.

Install 1903 (with latest build/update/CU) and then apply KB4517245 Enablement Package if you wanna upgrade to the 1909 without joining the IP ring

  8. Will MS update ISO's (msdn) before 19H2 release?

That can be, but considering that 1909 still will be 18362.1 (1903) + the 1909 enablement package (or a CU containing it), most likely it will continue as 1909 iso's.

Seems like I always get flamed on this board. Puerile slights are a great message to newcomers, so thank you very much...

PS: @Enthousiast - I think I managed to do that...

Something you did causes it, on an untouched 18362.356 it installed fine.

You could post the CBS log, for somebody to find the cause.

ps, try to put the update in a separate folder, instead of the root of the disk/partition.

ps2, the remark posted by @bfoos can hardly be considered flaming, friendly banter maybe;)

OK. Seems I always get 'bantered' on this board. For best results, I feel some ought to stick to the issue in hand and be grateful for additional input...

Maybe @Enthousiast, if you could offer a clear link to the enablement package I am supposed to deploy, that might help. Thank you for your input so far and much respect.

Otherwise, for some minor tweaks nobody will ever notice, I will just wait like all the other experienced folk for the official (beta) release of this dying OS.

I'm on a regular W10 enterprise if that makes a difference lol, x64.

    :)
