I am trying to do an in place upgrade of win10 LTSC 1809 to win10 LTSC 2021. After reading many posts and links it seems that the standard procedure is download the required EVAL ISO and patch it with the appropriate SVF patch... mount the iso, run setup etc... Is there a patched iso available?
Thanks abbodi1406 for clarifying my "old school" terminology.. and thanks also to Enthousiast for his helpful posts. I am testing this upgrade method on an old dell m6600 laptop circa: 2012 which had win7 pro. I have several computers running win10 ltsc 1809 that I will upgrade if this method goes smoothly. With the laptop upgrade there are two issues to solve First, there are some missing drivers such as broadcom USH driver, mass storage driver and unknown device which I can search for solutions from Dell support site. Second, more bothersome is that task manager closes automatically if I click on the Performance tab. All other tabs work fine. I like numbers and I want to check how many processes are running etc.... Is this a common problem and is there a solution?
Is winget part of LTSC2021? Is it seperate from Microsoft Store? "Desktop App Installer" and winget are the same thing?
Hello Guys Just a quick question, is there a link and site where we can download genuine certified iso versions of all windows, server and office etc. many website offering ISOs can't be trusted, I tried downloading win10 ltsc from MS and they only offer the eval version ?? So just woundered if anyone knew of a trusted place to download iso's Thank you in advance for any help Regards
Very easy, from the first post of this thread: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-enterprise-iot-enterprise-n-ltsc-2021.84509/ (look at 19044.1288 MVS ISOs (November 16. 2020) section)
LTSC newb here, a bit confused between the version numbers ... Am I correct that a full (non-eval) iso of 22H2 is not yet easily available (but should be soon)? I have just installed ...iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso on a new system (so System Properties shows 21H2) and I'm wondering whether I should just wait until I can grab 22H2 to really start installing everything. I am very willing to believe I'm completely missing the boat on what these numbers mean. thanks in advance for any hints or decodings...
No, (IoT) Enterprise 2021 LTSC is 21H2 aka 19044.1288+ and will stay at 21H2. MSFT can move in mysterious ways but based on current knowledge there won't be a 22H2 LTSC.
LTSC = Long Term Servicing Channel. Means it does NOT get every feature update! LTSB 2015 is build 10240 (TH1) LTSB 2016 is build 14393 (RS1) LTSC 2019 is build 17763 (RS5) LTSC 2021 is build 19044 (21H2) LTSC will not get any 22H2 build! Next LTSC will be W11 based. And Enth ninja-posted again...
Thanks for both the quick replies! I'm glad to hear I can just keep the system I've got. Any guess at when W11 LTSC will appear?
Probably not before 2024 or 2025, together with or close to the new Server release (Server has the same licensing and release cadence).
Activated the LTSB 16 copy via massgravel github method but after running the iot LTSC 21 iso it's asking for a product key. I've also tried to change the product key and disconnected from the internet but the key wasn't recognised as I thought this may have been the problem. Thank you to anyone who can help
