Well someone made miracast working on 21h2 ltsc? Optional feature is missing and i can't install it over cmd as well... There is any way expect using normal win10 release to make it available? nvm seems like dism command and packages from abbodi worked fine and it is working now, however lang packages didn't want to install
I noticed that kb5029006 (NDP35-48 OOB Update 06/29/2023) was not listed for integrations without NDP481 Base (kb5011048). Respectfully, shouldn't this be added? It looks like it has a few files newer than what's in kb5028853. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm using a patched iso to upgrade my W7 to W10 LTSC[1] without a complete reinstall. The W10 LTSC installer/upgrader I start from W7 (not from boot CD/stick) shows an error popup at 73% of the installation simply stating "Windows 10 Installation Has Failed" (I assume this is the correct translation, I use the German version ("Fehler bei der Installation von Windows 10".)) Question: Where do I get a proper error log from? EDIT: Found the answer: $Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther Now the problem is understanding what is actually wrong, because I don't see anything that obvious. setuperr, kig and setupact.log iirc can you show them here as attached file or txt withing code tags. @case-sensitive when the option to keep all files and apps is offered then the used tool to patch upgradematrix.xml has done its job. USB stick for what? Upgrades are done by simply extracting the ISO to a folder (or mount, win 8 and up/third party tool in 7) and run setup.exe, could be from an USB but not required.
He said ---- > (not from boot CD/stick) I asked why , and told him the best place to find out what he should do is from you . I wouldnt dare to try to give him info or advice about your tool
It will provide a .1 ISO or an updated ISO, the latter can also be achieved by using dism manually or W10UI (recommended).
is there any way to install intel XTU software on win 10 iot 2021 ltsc? i tried but it said doesn't support os. thanks
[Applicability] Windows 10* (21H1), Windows 10* (20H2), Windows 10* (20H1) win 10 iot 2021 ltsc = 21H2 Hardly possible.
2016 is lighter, but the 2021 one has improvements such as improved prefetch, and videos on the TV print that image a little better in 2021, direct2d a little faster in the scroll browser of the pages move more smoothly in 2021
Has anybody ever seen an advantage in prefetch even when it was supposed to be useful (using machanical disks)? The real improvements in 2021 are Linux related. 2016 doesn't even support WSL1 (officially), while 2021 comes with WSL1/2 support and when updated to 22H2 has even the WSLg support backported from Win11
I honestly don't think there's much of a difference in the prefetcher between 2016 and 2021's version. A general rule of thumb is that if it isn't broken, don't try to fix it. That being said, if the prefetcher is causing your system to hang when you try to launch programs, you can try to do a couple things: 1) launch services.msc and disable SysMain 2) run regedit and set "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters\EnablePrefetcher" to 0 Default value of that key is supposed to be 3 Again I'd recommend against fiddling with the settings if it isn't causing problems for you.
